Although the Knicks still look great in the major categories, much of that is due to their quick and successful start.
Diving into the more recent matches, New York has plummeted in their production on both sides of the court. The defense was always a problem, but they were feasting offensively. That’s not the case through the last 12 matches.
The regression is real… through the last 12 matches the Knicks rank 22nd on offense. Moreover, they rank 27th defensively and 25th in net rating.
Still, it’s hard to ignore those 12 consecutive wins and the fact that Brooklyn is actively tanking. The question isn’t if New York will win, but if they can cover the spread.
They are definitely due for a big breakout match, but I’m still going to take the points, given the rumors of a feud between Mike Brown and KAT.
