Free Boston Celtics vs. Utah Jazz NBA Prediction:
Wednesday, February 26th, the Boston Celtics will take on the Utah Jazz in the clubs’ first meeting of the season.
Last season, the teams played twice with the Jazz winning both games. The Celtics hold the all-time record having bested the Jazz in 57 of their 98 matches
Boston Celtics
It’s a tough back-to-back set for the Celtics who won in Portland Tuesday finishing in the high altitude of Utah. Boston lost a tough one the game prior (112-114) to the Lakers.

Jayson Tatum was huge in the LA match scoring 41 points and causing Frank Vogel to send out virtually everyone to try to stop the rising star.
It was more of the same in Portland as Tatum led the way with 36 points and five rebounds. Jaylen Brown who also played well in LA (20 points) was solid again scoring 24.
For the second game in a row, all five starters registered double-digits as Marcus Smart (12), Gordon Hayward (12) and Theis (10) helped ensure balanced scoring. Brad Wannamaker (13) was the lone reserved who hit double-figures.
Team leaders in key categories are Kemba Walker for assists (5.0) Gordon Hayward for field goal percent (50.6%), and Daniel Theis for blocks (1.3). Jayson Tatum leads the other three categories including scoring (22.9), rebounding (7.0) and steals (1.4).
Walker’s return date following the procedure to drain his knee and an injection to offset the swelling and pain is uncertain, however, he has been ruled out for Wednesday.
Robert Williams III (bone edema, hip) began practicing with the team and is expected back in action when the team returns to Boston.
Utah Jazz
It’s been a tough few weeks for the Jazz who’ve vacillated back and forth between winning and losing streaks. The key issue is they’ve struggled to find any semblance of defensive consistency.
For most of the early season, Utah was ranked in the top five defensively but coinciding with their struggles has fallen to 13th.
Moreover, the issues to integrate Mike Conley are a growing concern. In their last match, the losing streak extended to three games in a row all occurring on their home court.
The wheels came off in the second half with Phoenix outscoring Utah by 20 points.
Donovan Mitchell led his team with 38 points. Bogdan Bogdanovic (16), Jordan Clarkson (14), and Rudy Gobert (13) were the other double-figure scorers.
Gobert also made history as he blocked his 1000th shot to become the fifth Jazz player in history to reach that benchmark.
On the season, Donovan Mitchell is the team leader in scoring (24.4 points) and steals (1.1). Rudy Gobert tops the rebounding (14.3), field goal percent (68.7) and block (1.9) categories. Joe Ingles rounds out the group with 5.2 assists per game.
Nigel Williams-Goss missed the last three games due to a left quadriceps contusion and is questionable for Wednesday. Ed Davis is out with no definitive return as he deals with an ankle injury as well as back spasms.
