Tuesday, February 15th, the Boston Celtics, and Philadelphia 76ers play for the fourth and final occasion of this season. The Celtics won the December 1st contest 88-87 while Philly took the next two matches on December 20th (108-103) and January 14th (111-99).
Boston is riding an eight-game win streak with the most recent victory a 105-95 victory versus the Hawks on Sunday while the 76ers defeated the Cavaliers 103-93 on Saturday.

Although the Celtics want to continue the streak and this is a conference and Atlantic Division rival this game carries perhaps even more weight. Philly has already ensured a tie this season by virtue of winning two of the three matches between the clubs.
With the James Harden trade, the logical assumption is the 76ers improve and now there will be two talented superstars to contend with in Philly.
Add to that the Celtics moved up to sixth with the Raptors finally losing (twice now) and the 76ers are only two games up on them and two positions in fourth. A win would tie the season series and cut that gap in half.
Daniel Theis was upgraded to probable for Tuesday.

Video of James Harden and Joel Embiid at a 76ers practice both sporting huge grins provided the applicable “a picture is worth a thousand words”.
For the Sixers, the Ben Simmons saga is finally over. VP Daryl Morey has completed the mission he set out to accomplish, getting the player he has a long history with and who he ultimately coveted.
Harden who was clearly unhappy will start afresh with the leading candidate to win MVP (Embiid) with his Nets eulogy being ‘oh what could have been”.
In the end, the tantalizing experiment of that gifted offensive trio never fully got off the ground playing only 16 times in a little under 13 months with a stellar 13-3 record.
As for Embiid, this has been difficult for the big man who took cheap shots from his former teammate that came across more like a tantrum of a petulant teenager than a professional adult.
Just like the practice video of the jovial 76ers practice offered insight so too did Embiid’s cryptic but wordless response minutes after the trade.
The image appears to be of a man outside a funeral. SI.com writer Dan Lyons offered that the original photo was posted on Instagram in 2015. Due to NSFW language let’s just say the gist of it is the man is attending a funeral to make sure the person is actually dead.
Embiid’s made his point and frankly, part of the reason he’s the leading MVP candidate is the professional manner in which he led his club and kept them focused on and off the court.
While emotional health is a very serious situation there are more questions than answers because Simmons only did the bare minimum and only then to not be fined more after losing over $20 million.
Initial reports indicate he could be ready to play right after the All-Star break. If true –all due respect to Simmons for his emotional distress but to suddenly be emotional fit two weeks after missing 56 games and nearly four months of play well – I’ll let you conjure up that image.
Paul Millsap (personal) was upgraded to probable while Harden (hamstring) is out.

You can only play who is in front of you but the trick will be sustaining this effort against the top teams. Robert Williams will have a major task trying to stop Embiid and likewise, the 76ers will need to deal with the Celts’ star wings.
Should be a fun one — with the newly inspired and motivated Embiid leading the charge to end Boston’s steak.
