Friday, November 29 the Boston Celtics will be on the road taking the court against the Nets in Brooklyn. This is the second meeting between the teams this season in a home and home affair that witnessed the Celtics winning the first of the two games in Boston by a score of 121-110.
Last season, the squads played four times with the teams each winning two games in the series. The Celtics hold the all-time record having bested the Nets in 130 of their 197 matches.

In his first game back on the court after leaving the Nuggets game on a stretcher, Kemba Walker led his squad in the win over the Nets with 39 points, four assists, and six rebounds.

All five Celtics starters performed well with each scoring in double figures including Jaylen Brown (22), Jayson Tatum (16), Daniel Theis (14) and Marcus Smart (10). Brad Wanamaker was the lone reserve to score in double figures.
Kemba Walker leads the Celtics in scoring (22.2 points) while Marcus Smart tops the leaderboard for assists (5.1) and steals (1.5). Jayson Tatum is the rebound leader with 7.1 per game, Jaylen Brown tops the field goal percentage (48.3%) and Daniel Theis gets the most blocks (1.6).
In terms of injuries, Romeo Langford missed the last two games with a right ankle sprain and is questionable for this match. Gordon Hayward remains out following surgery to repair the fourth metacarpal bone in his hand and won’t return until the end of December.
Brooklyn Nets
Despite not being physically at the game in Boston, Kyrie Irving the former starting point guard for the Celtics took hits as the fan base went out of its way to lambast him.

Posters were plastered all over the area near the arena including a huge one out front of TD Garden which read “Coward”.
In his seven game absence, the Nets are 5-2 \with some trying to point to the record as evidence history is repeating. The problem with that scenario is the quality of competition Brooklyn played while Irving was out are primarily lower tier clubs.
In the loss to Boston, Garrett Temple led the team in scoring with 22 points while Jarrett Allen registered a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds. Joe Harris (21), Spencer Dinwiddie (16) Taurean Prince (12), and David Nwaba(10) were the other double-digit scorers.
Irving leads the team in scoring (28.5), assists (7.2) and steals. Jarrett Allen continues to demonstrate growth as he leads the Nets in rebounds (10.3), field goal percentage (68.3%) and blocks 1.3).
In terms of injuries, DeAndre Jordan missed the last two games with a sore ankle and is questionable for Friday. Irving is out until the end of December with shoulder impingement.
Likewise, Caris LeVert underwent surgery for ligament damage in his thumb and is also out until the end of December. Wilson Chandler continues to serve his suspension and will be eligible to return December 15th.
