Free Atlanta Hawks vs. Orlando Magic NBA Prediction:
Monday, February 10th, finds Southwest Division rivals the Atlanta Hawks facing the Orlando Magic for the third time this season. The Hawks won both prior meetings on October 26th (103-99) and December 30th (101-93).
Last season, the teams played four times with the Magic sweeping the series. The Hawks hold the all-time record having bested the Magic in 60 of their 118 matches
Atlanta Hawks
Trae Young made his feelings about the Hawks losing known and the franchise listened making several moves at the deadline focusing particularly on adding size upfront to pair with all the snipers on the club.

In the first match post deadline, the team lost to the Celtics but got a victory Sunday in double overtime against the Knicks. Many of the new acquisitions didn’t play as Clint Capela has a sore heel and Skal Labissiere is out dealing with a minor knee injury.
The third center the Hawks added at the deadline — Dewayne Dedmon was active in the win over the Knicks with 10 points and eight rebounds.
It was the two young stars however who led the way as both recorded double-double efforts. Trae Young delivered 48 points and 13 rebounds while John Collins dropped 32 points and 16 rebounds.
De’Andre Hunter (19) and Kevin Huerter (16) were the other double-figure contributors.
Young leads the team in points (29.7) and assists (9.1) while John Collins is tops for rebounding (10.3), and blocks (1.7). Damian Jones registers the best field goal percentage (68.7%) and DeAndre’ Bembry leads in steals (1.3).
Cam Reddish missed the last four games with a concussion and a nose contusion and is questionable for Monday’s match.
Clint Capela (heel) and Skal Labissiere (knee) will both be out until late February while DeAndre’ Bembry (hand) is out indefinitely.
Orlando Magic
To say the Magic are reeling would be an understatement as the team enters Monday having lost eight of their last nine games.
They’ll look to get back on track heading into the All-Star break and channel their efforts of last season when they rallied during the stretch to produce their best efforts on both sides of the hardwood.
If they want to hold off the chase pack and ideally move up the ladder to avoid the Bucks they’ll need a similar effort this year.
It’s not like they have to start from scratch as their defense is solid but the offense needs a major boost as Orlando frequently struggles to break the century mark.
Case in point, in their last match they held the offensive juggernaut Bucks to 111 points but scored only 95 points.
In the defeat, Nikola Vucevic posted a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds. Terrence Ross (20), Markelle Fultz (15) and Evan Fournier (14) were the other double-figure contributors.
The Magic team leaders are Nikola Vucevic 18.9 points and 10.9 rebounds, Markelle Fultz 4.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 46.1% field goal and Jonathan Isaac for blocks (2.4).
Trade deadline pickup James Ennis III could make his debut. DJ Augustin (knee) won’t return until mid-February. Jonathan Isaac (knee) and Al-Farouq Aminu (knee) are out long-term.
NBA Betting Trends:
- The Magic are 6-4 in last 10 head to head
- The teams are 5-5 ATS in their last 10
- Over Under is 5-5 in team’s last 10 head to head matchup
Free Atlanta Hawks vs. Orlando Magic NBA Prediction:
This match pits the Hawks offense versus the Magic defense and whoever can produce effort on the side where their weakness lies will net the victory. Since Atlanta doesn’t put much effort into defending that bodes well for Orlando.
