On Sunday, April 7 the Atlanta Hawks arrive at Fiserv Forum to face their host the Milwaukee Bucks. In their last game on Friday, the Atlanta Hawks suffered an embarrassing 149-113 beat down to the Magic. The Bucks last played Saturday in the front end of this back to back losing to the desperate Brooklyn Nets.
Last season the Bucks swept the three-game series with the Hawks but through three games this year Milwaukee lead two games to one. The Hawks hold the all-time record having bested the Bucks in 111 of their 219 matches.
In their last game, the Hawks allowed the Orlando Magic to score 81 points in the first half. That was a franchise record for the Magic who clearly is playing with the goal of getting into the postseason.
Prior to this loss to Orlando, the Hawks strung together some impressive wins and had won five of seven including a win over this Bucks squad when they beat them 136-135 in overtime.
In spite of the beat down by Orlando, five Hawks scored in double figures inluding Trae Young (22) and John Collins (20) who lead the way for their team.
In terms of injuries, more than a full lineup of players are expected to miss the game. Kevin Huerter (back injury) and Kent Bazemore (left adductor strain) are both questionable for Sunday.
Alex Poythress (ankle), Omari Spellman (ankle), Dewayne Dedmon (ankle) and Miles Plumlee (knee) are all expected to miss the remainder of the 2018-19 season.
The Bucks enter the final few games with nothing left to achieve other than getting their players to the postseason as healthy as possible and keeping their rhythm and flow intact.
In the loss to the Nets, the Bucks elected to rest Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) which seems wise given the late season rash of injuries the team has suffered
The Bucks came close to winning the match in spite of missing Giannis. Eric Bledsoe led the way scoring 33 points while Khris Middleton chipped in 24 and four other Bucks scored in double figures.
It’s unknown if Milwaukee will rest their star again, but Malcolm Brogdon (heel), Nikola Mirotic (thumb), Pau Gasol (ankle) Tony Snell (ankle) and Donte DiVincenzo are all out.

Free Atlanta Hawks vs. Milwaukee Bucks NBA Prediction: Hawks take advantage of resting Bucks
Milwaukee enters the match on the second game of a back to back and with their focus simply being on health. For that reason it’s likely they won’t play Antetokounmpo or push for a victory that will have no additional effect on their current standing.
4* Free NBA Betting Pick: Odds are off as of posting
The thing is the Hawks are mired with as many injuries as the Bucks. The difference is Young and Collins will be eager to make a statement to the top Eastern squad by trying to beat them twice in as many games.
