Friday, November 29th finds Eastern Conference rivals matching up as the Atlanta Hawks face the Indiana Pacers for the first time this season.
Last season, the squads played four times with the Pacers sweeping the series. Indiana has won five in a row against Atlanta. The Hawks hold the all-time record having bested the Pacers in 101 of their 191 matches

After starting the season with consecutive victories the loss of John Collins to suspension and Kevin Huerter to injury short changed what might’ve been a campaign where pundits predicted they could challenge for a bottom playoff seed.
Still, this is the Eastern Conference and despite ranking dead last the Hawks are only three games behind the eighth-seeded club as the league approaches the quarter pole.
In their recent loss to the Bucks, the Hawks held the lead entering the final frame before succumbing. Jabari Parker led the way with a double-double effort of 33 points, 14 rebounds, and five assists.
Young chipped in with 29 points, seven assists, and four rebounds while De’Andre Hunter and Damian Jones each scored 10 points.
Cam Reddish has a wrist injury making him questionable for Friday. Huerter has missed the past eight games with a rotator cuff strain and won’t be back in the lineup until the end of December.
Collins continues to serve his 25 game suspension for violating the league drug policy but will be eligible to return on December 23rd.
Indiana Pacers

I maintain the eventual starting backcourt of Dipo and Malcolm Brogdon is going to be a handful. Both players can score from all areas of the field, each is adept at playmaking and both are defensive stalwarts.
And while the fanbase awaits this eventual backcourt dynamic to come to pass the Pacers are holding their own with an 11-6 record and once again are balancing excellence on both sides of the hardwood.
The offseason addition of Brogdon was a steal but so too was the acquisition of T.J. Warren who has developed into a reliable and consistent offensive threat.
The win versus the Utah Jazz on Wednesday might be considered their first statement victory of the season.
A trio of players scored 20 or more points in the victory including Warren and Domantas Sabonis who each scored 23 and Brogdon with 22. Sabonis also grabbed 12 rebounds to record his 12th double-double of the season.
Indiana will be attempting to win their fifth game in a row as they finish a homestand before embarking on a five-game road trip
JaKarr Sampson (back) missed the past four games and is doubtful for Friday. Edmund Sumner (hand) is out indefinitely and Victor Oladipo (quadriceps tendon) is expected back in early December.
