2018-2019 NBA Previews – Pacific Division Odds
Looking for 2018 NBA Pacific Division Predictions? We’ve got your back. The Pacific Division may not be the most competitive division in terms of top-to-bottom parity (that title belongs without a doubt to the Northwest Division). That said, the two teams at the top are going to be two of the most-talked about teams of the entire 2018-19 campaign.

Although the Golden State Warriors will face a number of new challenges this season and LeBron James has the Lakers back on the map, it’s the former that enters the new year as heavy favorites.
Their title defense isn’t a given, but they’re the odds-on favorites to take home another Larry O’Brien Trophy, and while there’s nothing in the books that says they have to win the division to win a championship, their current status at -2000 is a clear indicator that that’s what oddsmakers think will happen.
2018 Golden State Warriors NBA Pacific Division Prediction
Head Coach: Steve Kerr
2017-18 Record: 58-24
Odds To Win Division: -2000
Odds To Win Conference: -245
Odds To Win NBA Championship: -195
This is going to be an interesting year for the Warriors. As you see, they’re favored to win the Pacific Division, the Western Conference and the NBA Championship. But beyond that, they’re favored at -2000, -245 and -195, respectively, which is indicative of not just how good the Dubs are but how little competition they’re expected to face across every level of the season.

What you need to think about before putting down your hard earned cash is whether or not the integration of DeMarcus Cousins is going to cause chemistry issues—or simply enough, if he’s going to be in good enough shape to make a difference.
There’s also the fact that both Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson have upcoming free agency opportunities.
If the Warriors can avoid letting the noise get to them, they will have no problem doing what they did a year ago, winning the division and ultimately capturing a title. But they have legitimate concerns beyond just being the best team in the league. Keep an eye on them—especially once the honeymoon stage fades away after Boogie’s return.
2018 Los Angles Lakers NBA Pacific Division Prediction
Head Coach: Luke Walton
2017-18 Record: 35-47
Odds To Win Division: +700
Odds To Win Conference: +1000
Odds To Win NBA Championship: +650
Between Golden State’s question marks and Los Angeles’ +700 payout despite being No. 2 in the division, the Lakers are going to be a popular underdog pick to win the Pacific. But don’t fall into the trap that is “you can’t bet against LeBron James.”

In this instance, you should do just that. Don’t get carried away looking at how much you can make—the Lakers have way too much work to do.
If the Golden State endures a significant injury, or L.A. gets off to a hot start and trades for a second star, then you can reconsider. But for now, the Lakers belong in second place in the division and should only be considered the darkest of dark horses until proven otherwise.
2018 LA Clippers NBA Pacific Division Prediction
Head Coach: Doc Rivers
2017-18 Record: 42-40
Odds To Win Division: +5000
Odds To Win Conference: +10000
Odds To Win NBA Championship: +25000
It’s time for a new era in Los Angeles, and no, we’re not just talking about the Lakers.
Chris Paul has been gone for a full calendar year. Blake Griffin was traded at the deadline. DeAndre Jordan has moved on to the Dallas Mavericks (again, but officially this time). And even Doc Rivers’ son Austin has found himself wearing a different uniform.
Rumor has it Jimmy Butler is interested in joining L.A.’s “other” team, but until that happens, the Clips will be an afterthought for most in the brutally tough Western Conference.
2018 Phoenix Suns NBA Pacific Division Prediction
Head Coach: Igor Kokoškov
2017-18 Record: 21-61
Odds To Win Division: +15000
Odds To Win Conference: +17500
Odds To Win NBA Championship: +40000
The Suns have some nice pieces to build around. Devin Booker is an offensive machine while Josh Jackson has the body and skill set to complement him nicely when engaged defensively. Tyler Ulis is an underrated prospect at the point guard position, and DeAndre Ayton—the league’s No. 1 pick this summer—could very well be the NBA’s newest unicorn.
The catch, of course, is that this franchise is a year away from being a year away at best.
Don’t be afraid to subscribe to this team’s League Pass if you’re looking for a young team to latch onto for entertainment purposes. But if you’re looking for a competitive squad, you’ll be better off looking elsewhere.
2018 Sacramento Kings NBA Pacific Division Prediction
Head Coach: Dave Joerger
2017-18 Record: 27-55
Odds To Win Division: +50000
Odds To Win Conference: +30000
Odds To Win NBA Championship: + 50000
The Sacramento Kings have failed over and over again to convert young players with high ceilings into productive veterans. The only exception is DeMarcus Cousins, whose time in Sacramento was far from care-free and ultimately ended with a trade to the New Orleans Pelicans two seasons ago.

Now, Sacramento has some opportunities flip the script. They took Marvin Bagley with the No. 2 overall selection this past June, and they hope he pairs nicely alongside young guard De’Aaron Fox and fellow big Harry Giles.
If the Suns are a year away from being a year away, the Kings are a year away from being a year away from being…you get it.
Like Phoenix, tune in on occasion if you can tolerate sloppy basketball because you’ll get some unexpected fun moments out of it. But unexpected success? Not so much.
2018 NBA Pacific Division Prediction
We’re not going to get cute here. This is the Warriors’ division to lose, and until the band breaks up or LeBron gets a legitimate second (and maybe third) star, the Warriors are easy money—even if you have to fork over some serious cash to see any sort of notable payout.
