2018-2019 NBA Previews – Nuggets Odds
Looking for 2018 Denver Nuggets Predictions? We’ve got your back. Denver finished last season 46-36, finishing ninth in the NBA’s Western Conference. Entering 2018-19, it’s exciting times. There’s a very good chance this team returns to the postseason, but it’ll take a whole lot of stars aligning considering how tough the Western Conference is and continues to be.

Denver Nuggets Strengths:
When looking at Dallas’ strengths, you have to start with the man in the middle: Nikola Jokic.
Jokic, who is constantly the centerpiece when it comes to Twitter debates about what makes a player elite (both sides are very passionate here, trust us), is one of the more unique players we have across the NBA.
The big man can shoot, dribble and play both at the rim and beyond the arc, but he’s also one of the best passers that we have in the game today.

Alongside Jokic, Paul Millsap will look to stay healthy in his second year with the Nugs. When he’s at his best, he’s an All-Star-caliber player who can impact both ends of the court.
On the wing, Will Barton has established himself as a go-to option, while Jamal Murray and Gary Harris both continue to get better.
This is an extremely versatile offensive team despite lacking long-distance shooting, as evidenced by the fact that they scored 109.6 points per 100 possessions—the sixth-best mark in the NBA last season.
Denver Nuggets Weaknesses:
This Nuggets team struggled big time a year ago on the point-preventing side of the floor. On the year, Denver gave up a whopping 108.8 points per 100 contest.
That number was only good enough for 26th in the league.

Another area where you’ll have to pay attention if you’ve got eyes on the Nuggets this season is the front office. That’s not something we usually say about most teams in a season preview, but this is a squad that just might be willing to sacrifice depth for another star or borderline star.
Should names like Jimmy Butler remain in the rumor mill, Denver will be tempted to go all-in.
That could ultimately be a good thing if the right deal is made, but it’s also a distraction and can cause chemistry issues.
This is more of a question mark than a weakness, but question marks can be problematic for fringe playoff teams looking to break postseason droughts.
Denver Nuggets Betting Prediction: 48-34
When the over/under wins loss projections came out, the Nuggets were set at 47.5. In all likelihood, that’s good enough to squeak into the playoffs, despite the Western Conference having the occasional season where it takes a legitimate 50-win campaign to qualify.
If we assume the Lakers and Nuggets make the postseason, that means at least two of last season’s Western Conference playoff teams are out.

You’re likely looking at the Minnesota Timberwolves, Portland Trail Blazers or New Orleans Pelicans to fall into that category.
Regardless of who falls out, the Nuggets should find themselves making the postseason.
Forty-eight wins won’t make them a lock based on other preseason projections, but it’s a smart bet to pick this team to make the playoffs for the first time since the 2013 campaign.
