Dale Earnhardt Jr. headlines the group, but the competition behind him is a wide open field that features anyone who can win this.
Here is a look at 5Dimes betting odds to win both this week’s race and the 2017 Monster Energy Cup title.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.: 2017 Daytona Odds: +500
A two time winner of the Daytona 500, Earnhardt Jr. looks to continue his fast start to the season.
[dfads params=’groups=248&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
Earnhardt Jr. missed the 2nd half of last season with a concussion, but has since returned to really dominate. Earnhardt Jr. is seeking his first Cup Series win since November of 2015.
Winner of the Daytona 500 in 2004 and 2014, Earnhardt Jr. has finished in the top 2 in four of the last seven appearances he’s had.
Brad Keselowski: 2017 Daytona 500 Odds: +700
Keselowski earns the number 7 spot and looks to get his steam back that he lost a bit.
Keselowski fell to 12th in last year’s Cup Series and had a struggle of a time finishing in the Top 10.
In 5 of his final 6 races, he failed to grab a Top 10 finish, but did manage to capture a win in the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona.
Look for him to really stay atop the race the entire time, as he has plenty of experience to build off of.
Joey Logano: 2017 Daytona 500 Odds: +1000
Joey Logano has a lot of momentum to build off of as finished last season extremely well.
[dfads params=’groups=246&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
Logano captured top three finishes in 4 of his last 6 races. He also has the 2015 Daytona 500 crown under his belt.
Jimmie Johnson: 2017 Daytona 500 Odds: +1000
Jimmie Johnson is a wild card this year.
He does have two Daytona 500 wins under his belt, but last season was one to forget.
He captured 16th in the Daytona 500 and really never threatened the top of the pack. If he can stay up there early, he has the experience and knowledge to handle the latter stretch of the race.
Kyle Busch: 2017 Daytona 500 Odds: +1000
Busch, like Johnson, is another wild card here.
He has plenty of experience and nearly stole the the Daytona 500 last season. A third place finish was still impressive and he’ll look to avenge last year and get over the hump with a victory this year.
