NASCAR Handicapping
NASCAR returns to Kansas Speedway for the second race here this season, and Tyler Reddick owns the first trophy after winning in April. That victory was part of a ridiculous start that saw Reddick win five of the first nine races.
The Chase picture has changed since then. Joey Logano won last weekend’s Bass Pro Shops Night Race in a tight finish over Kyle Larson. The result moved Logano and Larson into the top four in the season standings, joining Denny Hamlin and Christopher Bell.
Kansas now gives Larson, Hamlin, and Bell another track where all three have plenty of reasons to expect themselves near the front. Larson and Hamlin have especially strong numbers here, and Bell has finished between second and eighth in eight of the last 10 Kansas races. The sportsbook isn’t giving any of them away. Larson opens +340, Hamlin +440, and Bell +650.
Hollywood Casino 400 Betting Strategy & NASCAR Edge
I’m leaning heavily on Kansas history and performance on this track type this week. That’s why three of my five outright tickets come from the very top of the board.
Kyle Larson at +340 isn’t sexy. Neither is Denny Hamlin +440. But there’s no rule saying we have to wander down the odds board just because a bigger number looks prettier on the betting slip. Larson and Hamlin have consistently been among the best drivers at Kansas, and both were right in the middle of the fight here in the spring.
Christopher Bell at +650 gives us the third shorter-priced play. Then the card changes.
Alex Bowman at +4500 and Austin Cindric at +8000 give us two swings where the payoff actually starts getting interesting. Bowman has a strong Kansas history, while Cindric showed enough here in the spring to earn another look at a monster number.
Why the Hollywood Casino 400 Creates Betting Value
The top of this board gets expensive fast. Larson +340 and Hamlin +440 barely let us get comfortable before Bell and Tyler Reddick show up at +650. Chase Briscoe is +1100, Ty Gibbs +1200, and then Bubba Wallace and Chase Elliott are both +1500.
Larson’s Kansas record makes +340 easier to swallow than it looks at first glance. Hamlin has been just as difficult to ignore, particularly after leading 131 laps here in the spring. Bell gives us another proven Kansas driver at +650.
Then we jump all the way to Bowman at +4500. That’s where the card starts getting fun.
I’m not betting Larson +340 because I love laying short NASCAR prices. I’m betting him because sometimes passing on the best driver for the sake of finding a prettier number is how bettors talk themselves into donating money.
Why Kansas Speedway Is Different
Kansas has given us enough recent history to actually work with. Larson has won here twice in the Next Gen car. Hamlin has four Kansas victories in the Next Gen era, while Bell has stacked one strong finish after another.
That matters more to me than trying to get cute with one isolated result.
We also saw in the spring how much race control can matter here. Hamlin led 131 laps. Larson led 78, and both collected stage results while spending significant portions of the race near the front. Bell was in contention too before getting spun on the final lap.
Last Year at Kansas
Chase Elliott came out of nowhere to steal the 2025 Hollywood Casino 400 in the second overtime session. And I mean came out of nowhere.
Elliott restarted eighth for the final two-lap shootout, charged all the way to the front, and edged Denny Hamlin by 0.069 seconds. Hamlin had led 159 laps and still watched somebody else leave with the trophy.
NASCAR bettors know the feeling. You can have the right car for hours and still be wrong when the checkered flag flies.
That’s worth remembering Sunday. Kansas rewards speed, but a late restart can erase a whole afternoon of domination in about two minutes.
Past Winners – Hollywood Casino 400
The last 10 Hollywood Casino 400 winners give us a useful mix of current contenders and familiar Kansas names. Chase Elliott has won twice during that stretch. Larson, Logano, and Hamlin are also on the list, while Reddick and Bubba Wallace gave 23XI Racing consecutive victories in 2022 and 2023.
- 2025 – #9 Chase Elliott – Hendrick Motorsports
- 2024 – #1 Ross Chastain – Trackhouse Racing
- 2023 – #45 Tyler Reddick – 23XI Racing
- 2022 – #45 Bubba Wallace – 23XI Racing
- 2021 – #5 Kyle Larson – Hendrick Motorsports
- 2020 – #22 Joey Logano – Team Penske
- 2019 – #11 Denny Hamlin – Joe Gibbs Racing

Hollywood Casino 400 Free Picks
My 2026 NASCAR Hollywood Casino 400 Race Prediction starts with Kyle Larson +340, Denny Hamlin +440, and Christopher Bell +650. That’s a chalky opening three.
I’m fine with it.
Larson and Hamlin have been monsters at Kansas, while Bell has finished between second and eighth in eight of his last 10 races here. If we’re going to pay shorter numbers, I at least want drivers whose track history gives me a damn good reason to do it. Alex Bowman +4500 and Austin Cindric +8000 round out the card.
Bowman gives us a legitimate Kansas résumé at a much bigger number. Cindric is the real longshot swing after climbing 22 positions here in the spring.
Five outright plays. Let’s get into them.
2026 NASCAR Hollywood Casino 400 Race Odds: Kyle Larson +340
Kyle Larson gets the first ticket, and the sportsbook isn’t exactly hiding him. He’s +340.
Larson enters Kansas after a win and a second-place finish in his last two races. He’s also won twice here in the Next Gen car and owns the best average Kansas finish in the field at 5.8.
Take out the fall 2024 race where a flat tire sent him into the wall and the numbers get stupid. Larson’s average Next Gen finish here drops to 3.3. He’s finished inside the top four in six of eight races and inside the top eight in the other two. Then there’s April.
Larson finished second in Stage 1, won Stage 2, led 78 laps, and briefly held the lead in overtime. He didn’t win, but nothing about that performance makes me want to run away from him now.
+340 isn’t going to make anybody rich unless they’re betting more than I recommend, but Larson’s combination of current form and Kansas history makes him the first name on my card.
My 2026 NASCAR Hollywood Casino 400 Race Prediction starts with Kyle Larson +340.
2026 NASCAR Hollywood Casino 400 Race Odds: Denny Hamlin +440
Denny Hamlin might have an even better Kansas argument. He’s won here four times in the Next Gen car and owns the second-best average finish at 7.1. Remove the 2025 spring race and that number improves to 3.5.
That’s not a typo.
Hamlin matches Larson with six top-four finishes in eight races and has finished inside the top eight each time outside that one spring result. He’s also been the best Cup Series driver on this track type this season, producing a win and a 2.6 average finish.
The spring Kansas race was another clinic that didn’t end with a trophy. Hamlin led a race-high 131 laps, won Stage 1, finished second in Stage 2, and posted the best average running position in the field at 2.1.
After all that, he finished fourth.
Welcome to NASCAR betting. Do almost everything right and somebody can still steal your damn money at the end.
I’m coming back anyway. At +440, Hamlin is my second Hollywood Casino 400 outright.
2026 NASCAR Hollywood Casino 400 Race Odds: Christopher Bell +650
Christopher Bell gives us a little more breathing room at +650. Not much. But I’ll take it.
Bell has finished between second and eighth in eight of the last 10 Kansas races. That’s the kind of consistency I want when I’m still paying a relatively short outright price.
He was in contention to win the spring race too. Then he got spun on the final lap.
Bell continues to sit near the top of the season standings, and Kansas has repeatedly been a track where he’s put himself in position.
At +650, I’m betting on him doing it again and getting a cleaner ending this time.
He doesn’t need to dominate 200 laps. He needs to be there when it matters.
Christopher Bell +650 is outright No. 3.
NASCAR Odds: Alex Bowman +4500
Now we’re talking.
Alex Bowman at +4500 is where the payout finally starts looking like something I want to stare at for four hours. Bowman has been improving over the past month and has a quietly strong Kansas résumé. He’s finished inside the top 10 in six of eight races here and owns the fifth-best average finish at 10.9.
He’s also finished inside the top five in two of the last three races on this track type this season.
That’s enough to get my attention at 45-to-1.
Bowman obviously isn’t being priced in the Larson-Hamlin-Bell neighborhood because he hasn’t produced their Kansas dominance. He doesn’t need to. At +4500, we’re buying a completely different proposition.
Give me a driver who’s run well here, has shown improving form, and doesn’t need a four-figure bet to produce a worthwhile return.
That’s my kind of longshot.
Alex Bowman +4500 makes the card.
NASCAR Odds: Austin Cindric +8000
Austin Cindric +8000 is the biggest number on my Hollywood Casino 400 card. We’re not pretending he’s Larson.
That’s why he’s 80-to-1.
Cindric finished 12th here in the spring, but the finishing position doesn’t tell the entire story. He started 34th and climbed 22 spots during the race.
Winning is obviously a much bigger ask. Again: 80-to-1.
I don’t need Cindric to carry the same probability as the three favorites at the top of my card. I need his chance of winning to be better than the number the sportsbook is hanging. This is the smallest outright wager of the five.
If Cindric spends Sunday running 19th, life goes on. If he’s sitting sixth with 25 laps remaining, that +8000 ticket suddenly becomes a hell of a lot more interesting.
Give me a small Austin Cindric +8000 swing.
Best Mid-Tier NASCAR Bets at Kansas
The space between Bell +650 and Bowman +4500 has plenty of recognizable names. Chase Briscoe is +1100 and Ty Gibbs sits at +1200. Bubba Wallace and defending winner Chase Elliott are both +1500, with William Byron and last week’s Bristol winner Joey Logano at +2000.
That’s a dangerous group to simply ignore. I’m still not turning five outright bets into 10.
Elliott deserves respect after stealing this race last year, and Wallace owns a Hollywood Casino 400 win from 2022. Logano has a 2020 victory here and arrives after winning Bristol. All three will get another look after practice and qualifying.
Carson Hocevar at +2700 is where the board begins moving into a more comfortable outright range. Chris Buescher follows at +4000.
Longshot Drivers Worth a Smaller Look
Once we get beyond Bowman at +4500, the sportsbook starts throwing numbers at us that can make almost anybody look attractive. Brad Keselowski +5500. Ross Chastain +6000. Josh Berry and Daniel Suarez +8000.
Shane van Gisbergen, Erik Jones, and Riley Herbst are all +10000. This is where bettors can get themselves in trouble.
Give me enough time with a NASCAR odds board and eventually I can invent a reason why half the garage is mispriced. That’s not the goal.
Longshots are supposed to pay like longshots because they usually lose. Bet them like you understand that and they’re a hell of a lot more fun.
How Bettors Should Attack the Hollywood Casino 400
The outright board is only one piece of the Kansas betting puzzle. Top-5s, Top-10s, driver matchups, stage odds, and live betting could all give us additional opportunities once we see the cars on track.
I don’t need to believe he wins the race to believe he can finish inside the top 10. That’s one of the easiest mistakes to make with NASCAR betting. You like a driver’s chances of running well, so suddenly you’re holding an outright ticket when a Top-10 or matchup bet would’ve made considerably more sense.
Larson, Hamlin, and Bell are different. Those three have shown enough at Kansas that I’m comfortable betting them to actually finish the job.
Practice & Qualifying Could Change Everything
I’m not filling every possible betting market before practice. Kansas has already shown us which drivers tend to run well here, but Sunday still comes down to the cars they unload this weekend.
One rocket qualifying lap is nice. Show me which cars keep their pace after the tires have some laps on them and which drivers look comfortable moving through traffic. Starting position still matters.
A strong qualifying run can keep a contender away from early nonsense and give the team more control over strategy.
A bad starting spot isn’t necessarily fatal, though.
If one of our favorites qualifies poorly but shows legitimate long-run speed, I won’t automatically run away from the ticket. Sometimes a worse starting spot gives us a better betting number.

Hollywood Casino 400 Longshot Odds
The bottom half of the board gets wild in a hurry. Most of these drivers are considerably more interesting to me in Top-10 or matchup odds than as outright winners. Cindric at +8000 is already enough of a longshot outright for this card.
- Brad Keselowski +5500
- Ross Chastain +6000
- Austin Cindric +8000
- Josh Berry +8000
- Daniel Suarez +8000
- Shane van Gisbergen +10000

More Ways to Bet the Hollywood Casino 400
The five outrights aren’t necessarily the end of my Kansas card. Bowman and Cindric are worth checking in Top-10 props, while Elliott, Wallace, and Logano could offer something in placement props or driver matchups after practice and qualifying.
Live betting is also worth keeping open. Denny Hamlin led 159 laps here last year and still watched Chase Elliott win after restarting eighth for the final two-lap shootout.
Kansas can turn quickly after a late restart or pit sequence, so I’m more interested in reacting to race speed and a good live number than chasing whoever happens to be leading.
That’s enough action for me. We already have five outright NASCAR best bets, and there’s no reason to manufacture more bets just because the sportsbook gives us another menu.
Best Sportsbook for Hollywood Casino 400 Betting
The Hollywood Casino 400 gives NASCAR bettors plenty of ways to attack Sunday afternoon. Outright winners, Top-5s, Top-10s, stage props, driver matchups, and live betting give us options beyond simply picking who takes the checkered flag.
MyBookie remains one of my preferred sportsbooks for NASCAR betting. The larger betting menu matters when I’m looking beyond outrights after practice and qualifying.
