Washington Nationals
I suppose the Nationals showed some resolve buy beating the Marlins three straight times over the weekend. That might have been the last straw but there is still something off with this team. They scored a lot of runs but with the exception of Saturday they gave up a lot too. They are getting a fair number of quality starts but the bullpen has been a disaster.

With the addition of Patrick Corbin, Stephe Strasburg is basically the third starter now. He is having a good season and is definitely not the reason the team is struggling. He has made three starts against the Mets this season but this will be his first against the Braves. It would be great if he could work deeper into games to give us a better chance to get the win.
Atlanta Braves
Atlanta has been pretty good but you can argue that their offense should probably have produced more runs when you look at their underlying statistics. Their lineup is deeper than you think with the addition of Austin Riley. They are putting Ozzie Albies ahead of the pitcher on most nights. He would be batting first or second on a lot of lineups around the league.

Max Fried has been the best pitcher for the Braves this season and he has won three starts in a row. He has been especially sharp at home and a great bet all season long – the Braves are 7-3 in his starts. Atlanta has a few big time arms in the bullpen but they need more consistency in that spot. Closer Luke Jackson already has four blown saves.
