St. Louis Cardinals

Michael Wacha was good last year in limited action, leading many to believe he might get back to the level envisioned when he first broke in a few years back. So far in 2019 he has regressed. Just way too many walks and homers and if he was on a worse team he would not be 2-0. The bullpen will be a lot better once they get Andrew Miller back on track.
Chicago Cubs
The Cubs have been playing good ball too, riding a four game winning streak into Friday and displaying good offense in the process. They are still waiting for Kris Bryant to come around but I am getting worried about him. We are getting further and further from his best days. Javy Baez is showing his power eruption last year was no fluke – he has 10 homers.

Like Bryant Yu Darvish is trying to get back to his best form. The Ks are there but the walks are so high that you can almost just try to wait him out. His last game has been his best so perhaps he is getting things turned around. The bullpen has been OK and will be tested throughout this series.
