San Francisco Giants
This is the final game of a rare wrap around series. These teams are probably about even but the Giants future prospects are not nearly as good as they lack the young cornerstones Cincinnati thinks it has. Their lineup is kind of a disaster right now. Players like Brandon Belt have never really developed and their ageing stars are not delivering near enough.

Drew Pomeranz won 17 games for the Red Sox just two years ago. Last year was a disaster though and now he is trying to show he still has something to give a team. He has his moments and he can strike guys out but it seems that there is always one inning that trips him up. The bullpen has been solid but not spectacular.
Cincinnati Reds
The results are not quite there yet but there is buzz for the Reds now. Somehow they have the second best staff ERA in the Majors and they just brought up their to prospect in Nick Senzel. They just need to balance things out by getting more production from the likes of Joey Votto and Yasiel Puig. This team appears to have enough talent to be somewhat of a factor in the NL Central this season.

Anthony DeSclafani might finally be back to where he was before he lost the entire 2017 season due to injury. He has not given up a run in his last two starts and just one in the start before that. He is contributing to that staff ERA in a big way and seems to be getting stronger. Closer Raisel Iglesias need to be sharper. Sure he can strikeout anyone but some cleaner outings would help this team continue to improve.
