New York Yankees
Clint Frazier hit his first home run in June and his 11th overall on Tuesday to give New York a 2–0 lead before Toronto scored four in the fifth and ended up winning, 4–3.
Frazier has just been another one of many Yankees to have gotten a big opportunity to play this season and deliver with a nice season. He could be a regular somewhere but when Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge return, he’ll be at the end of New York’s bench. His OPS is over .850 and nearly 25 percent better than the league’s average.

Mashiro Tanaka was causing on Tuesday and looking like he was going to get another win before Randall Grichuk took him deep to lead of a fifth that saw the Jays get four hits, including a 2-run homer from Freddy Galvis and an RBI single from Vlad Guerrero Jr. that ended up being the decisive blow.

Guerrero Jr. still hasn’t found steady footing, as is often the case whenever a youngster spends his first couple months in the big leagues. He started icy before that AL Player of the Week performance in mid-May. He homered on May 31st but it was the only one he has hit since May 22, which marked the end of that hot week.

He’s still smashing balls everywhere and not striking out that much. I mean, he’s K’ed in 10 of his last 13 games but only more than once in two of those instances, which is kind of how we talk about strikeouts these days.
Edwin Jackson could use some whiffs in this one. He was ok in his first start for the Jays against the Giants (5 IP, 2 ER) but he’s been progressively worse over the last three, giving up first five runs, then seven, and finally ten earned the last time out in Colorado.
