The Yankees won 18 of Luis Severino’s 20 starts before the all-star break but lost his first one so far after after Tampa Bay took game one of a three-game series on Monday, 7–6.

Masahiro Tanaka will start this game with more than a week of rest. His last start came on July 15 against the Indians when he pitched into the seventh inning, gave up six hits and only two runs in an eventual loss.
