The Mets will debut a new pitcher on Thursday as Walker Lockett makes his MLB debut. He has battled arm issues the early part of this season, but has a 3.28 ERA at Triple A since returning.
Chicago Cubs
The Cubs had a nice bounce back game on Wednesday, hitting 3HR and scoring 6 runs off the previously red hot Lucas Giolito of the White Sox. The Cubs dropped a 1-3 contest on Tuesday vs. their crosstown rivals thanks to a late HR from Eloy Jimenez.
It was a nice welcome site to see the Cubs bats come alive. Prior to Wednesday’s 7-4 win, Chicago had been held to 3 runs or less in 5 straight games.

Chicago will turn to Tyler Chatwood on Thursday as Kyle Hendricks will miss his turn in the rotation with a shoulder issue. Chatwood did make a start on April 21st, shutting out the Diamondbacks over 6 IP. His ERA is just 2.87 over the last 15 appearances.
