Miami Marlins
Last in homers the Marlins are second last in runs. Brian Anderson has already matched his rookie season home run total but this lineup is so thin it is amazing that they can be competitive at all. Maybe they aren’t and they are not going to get any real reinforcements either. The Marlins pitching is decent but the lack of offense makes it tough to back them.

Sandy Alcantara is enjoying a nice first full season in the Majors. His K/BB rate needs a lot of work but he keeps the ball in the park and does not give up too many hits. He did face the Nats last week and they hit him hard, 6IP with 6ER, three homers allowed. His road splits are not terrifying bu this does not look like a great spot.
Washington Nationals
Washington is playing its best ball of the season. The fact that it is coinciding with a light stretch in the schedule probably helps but there is still a lot to like about this team. Their bullpen can only improve from where they are right now and the lineup is healthy with six players already having slugged 12 or more homers.

Ever since he came into the league I have looked for spots to fade Stephen Strasburg. This is not one of them though. Not only is he having a nice season but Miami is not going to scare him. He has beaten the Marlins twice already this season and given up just 4ER over 15 innings. For some reason his home numbers are off this year.
