His numbers on the road are not as good as at home but he is more than playable, especially against a team like Washington that struggles – he has beaten the Nats once already this season.

Washington needed four runs late to get the win against the surging Marlins on Friday night. Is that comeback a sign of life? It is hard to say as there are big time rumours surrounding the manager and their top hitter Anthony Rendon. Rendon is performing but perhaps his age has him out of step with their plans. It would be off given the way they have invested in pitching and are built to win now.

Patrick Corbin gets the ball on Saturday and has been regularly followed by Anibal Sanchez. Sanchez has been terrible and now hurt so the last time through they went with Erick Fedde. He was OK in a loss to the Mets and certainly deserves another look. Not sure why he has not been announced. Washington has a terrible bullpen so you have to be careful with backing them.
