Miami Marlins
The Marlins are not good, just better than expected. The funny thing is that they have a much better record than the Orioles despite their desire to tank this season. I guess baseball is funny that way. They should be able to score runs in this one, which has been their biggest achilles heel.

Wei-Yin Chen is not having a good season but if you look closely you have to see that he has one of the worst home/road splits imaginable. At Marlins Park he has a respectable ERA of 2.53 but on the road it is a whopping 10.31. I know we are not even half a season in but that is pretty stark.
Baltimore Orioles
Manny Machado is putting together his best season ever but the Orioles are still last in scoring. Chris Davis has been so bad that a local bar is giving away shots on any day he actually gets a hit. He and Jonathan Schoop are huge disappointments, to put it mildly.

When the Orioles signed Alex Cobb I thought it was a sneaky good signing. Unfortunately I was dead wrong as Cobb has been mostly bad with his latest outing his worst – 9ER over just 3.2 innings. Facing the Marlins is a way for any pitcher to gain some confidence but it is hard to know what you are going to get with Cobb this season.
