Tampa Bay Rays
The Rays got the win they needed in game two, evening up the series. Now they can take a breath.
As great as that was it is was also wonderful to see Brandon Lowe find his stroke with a couple of homers. You can only rely on Randy Arozarena so much.
With the day off the Rays get a chance to give their relievers a rest. That could tilt things in their direction “at home”. Those guys are pretty gassed.
Charlie Morton is the Rays third starter but when it comes to playoff experience and success he is at the top of the list for Tampa.
Morton has not given up a run in his last two playoff starts and the Rays have won all three of his starts in the postseason. That makes that underdog value very intriguing.

Los Angeles Dodgers
Game two showed us that a Dodgers coronation might be a little premature.
There is still no doubt as to who the more talented team is but Tampa’s pitching can be a pretty strong equalizer.
As they look to get back on top the Dodgers are giving the ball to Walker Buehler, their best starter in the playoffs. He has a big-time arm.
I love how the Dodgers can do more than just hit home-runs and I have to admit that Mookie Betts is kind of growing on me. He, Seager and Cody Bellinger are quite the trio.
That Will Smith guy is pretty good too. He does not have a ton of hits but it seems like he always comes through. He is second on the team in RBIs in the playoffs.
Buehler has 29Ks in just 19 playoff innings and has looked better in the playoffs than during the regular season. Like Glasnow for the Rays though he has to watch his walks.
L.A. would love to bust this one open and not have to rely on Buehler to be too perfect. In the playoffs they are backing him up with less than four runs per game.

Therefore I love the value with the Rays tonight. The fact their bats got going is a very good sign, especially the lefty Lowe. Two opposite-field homers show he is not trying to do too much.
Take Tampa tonight. They swing the series in their direction with a game three win.
