The Dodgers failed to score on Tuesday night in St. Louis and dropped their second in a row. It’s their first losing streak of the season.
Los Angeles actually out-hit St. Louis but the Birds delivered the goods in the big spots. Yadier Molina drove in three against Ross Stripling, who went the first five for the Dodgers and gave up all four runs.

The Dodgers held Walker Buehler back in Spring Training and allowed him to get his work in during the regular season. He went three innings and threw 60-something pitches in his first start and five innings for 79 pitches in the second. He’ll be up close to a full workload in this outing, though he may not be in tip-top form yet.
In other news, Clayton Kershaw made a rehab start on Tuesday. He could join the Dodgers’ rotation as soon as Sunday.
St. Louis Cardinals
St. Louis’ second win over Los Angeles in two games gives it a three-game winning streak, which is its best in the early season. The Cardinals are up over .500 for the first time this season.
Buehler is a southern boy from Lexington, Kentucky and the Cardinals will counter with their own hard-throwing, no-nonsense, right-hander from the south: Michael Wacha.

Wacha is a Texan and, unlike Buehler, he came into this season ready to rear it back and fire. He threw 96 pitches and allowed one run in six innings against Milwaukee in his first start and tossed 119 his last time out in just 5.2 innings against San Diego.
