Los Angeles Dodgers
Los Angeles is in trouble. They have started off cold and the team in their division have really pounced. Justin Turner is still out and as much as they miss his production they miss his fire too. They have to take this series.
Alex Wood has yet to walk a batter but he has also yet to win a game. In two of his starts the Dodgers were shutout but in his most recent game he was hit hard by Oakland. The occasional base on balls is better than a hit sometimes.
San Diego Padres
The Padres have been competitive which is a step up from recent seasons. As the series began on Monday they were looking down on the Dodgers and Giants. Not sure how sustainable that is but is a start. They need to score more though to support the staff.
Bryan Mitchell has been the weak link in the rotation. He is walking guys like crazy with 14 in 13 innings. His ration of BB/Ks is 14/3. The inverse would be good this is just terrible and make it impossible for him to give up any hits without runs crossing the plate.
