LA is currently a pretty significant favorite here with the total at 9.5
Los Angeles Dodgers
I am sure there are some crazy Dodgers fans that are already freaking out about their opening series, but as we know, there really should be no panic at all about this team.
Yes, there is no question that they did not play their best baseball against the Rockies, but I definitely feel that as the season goes on and they find their rhythm, this team will be one of the best teams in the sport.
Now, getting back to that Colorado series. After taking the first game of the series on Friday, they dropped both games over the weekend by scores of 3-2 and 9-4.
Of the two losses, the only one that should get a Dodgers fan potentially a little nervous is the one on Sunday, as Julio Urias did not look good at all.
Urias managed to only go 2 innings, allowed 6 hits, and 3 earned runs. When you are someone who is supposed to be one of the better pitchers on the staff, you have got to be better than that.
Starting on Tuesday, they will once again get a chance to take on a club they are better than, but as we know, no wins should be assumed.
Getting the start for Los Angeles on Tuesday will be Andrew Heaney. Quite frankly, he really was not very impressive with either the Angels or Yankees, so there is doubt that the Dodgers are taking a bit of chance by bringing this guy in.
Heaney has shown glimpses of being a good pitcher before, but he has yet to really put it all together.
Minnesota Twins
After having a serious down year last season, the Twins are hoping to get back to being a solid team that can compete for the American League Central.
There is no doubt they have improved their roster in some ways and I do feel they will have a better record in 2022, but I still am not sold on them competing with the White Sox. Until further notice, the cream of the crop in that division is Chicago until some other team can prove otherwise.
Minnesota opened up their season at home and split a four-game set with the Seattle Mariners. The M’s won the first two games and the Twins took the last 2 games.
They blanked Seattle on Monday by a score of 4-0. That is certainly no easy task to keep an offense like that to zero runs.
Last year, a big issue for this team was consistent pitching. If they can get better in that area, to go along with their offense, they should feel very confident with the group they have.
Dylan Bundy looked sharp in their last game, as he went 5 innings and did not allow any earned runs. That is a positive sign for him and this team.
Bundy did not rack up the strike-out numbers last time out, but he was still very effective. As long as you can be efficient and get outs, it does not matter how you do it.
Chris Archer will be getting the start for these guys on Tuesday evening. After dealing with some injuries with Tampa Bay, he will look to get back on track with his new team.

- The Dodgers are 8-4 SU in their last 12 games against an AL opponent.

- The Twins are 6-14 SU in their last 20 games in April.
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Minnesota Twins MLB Prediction:
The Dodgers certainly have some strong starting pitchers, but I do not exactly trust Heaney here to be all that great.
On the same note, Archer is going to have a very tough time containing this potent LA offense.
I would say the Dodgers get the win, but I do not like laying the run line with them, as I see Minnesota keeping this thing close.
My play is on the Twins at +1.5 here.
