Los Angeles Dodgers
All you had to watch was the first inning on Wednesday. Either that, or someone could have just told you the Dodgers scored eleven runs in the first and you could have saved yourself the exercise all-together.
The Dodgers scored eleven runs in the first inning and the first fifteen of the game, jumping all over poor rookie Kyle Wright and then left-hander Grant Dayton.
Joc Pederson, Edwin Rios, Max Muncy, Cody Bellinger and Corey Seager all homered. Pederson and Seager each had three hits. Will Smith had a couple RBIs, too.
Julio Urias threw 101 pitches in five innings. He gave up three hits and one run.
It was a momentous victory that could wind up being the driving force behind a terrific LA comeback, especially if Clayton Kershaw is healthy and ready to go in Game 4.
The Dodgers won’t announce anything until closer to first pitch but there seems to be optimism Kershaw could start. Of course, that would make things tough on oddsmakers, who are already pressed for time with a seven game series in seven days.
Atlanta Braves
Atlanta did strike back to outscore the Dodgers, 1–0, over the last six innings of the game. It will need to do more than that to slow the Dodger momentum in Game 4.
As important as it was for the Dodgers to start Game 3 quickly (which they did), a fast start in Game 4 is now key for the Braves.
It starts with getting a zero from Bryse Wilson, a twenty-two-year-old right-handed rookie with no postseason experience to mention.
In just less than sixteen regular season innings, he gave up eighteen hits and walked nine, compared to fifteen strikeouts.
Game 3 was just one game but it would seem its result swung about as much in the Dodgers’ favor as it could have.
It also serves as a reminder how difficult it will be to beat Los Angeles in four out of seven.

But betting the Dodgers now is like getting into the stock market when all the money has already been made. It looks like an easy selection but ultimately you are going to pay too much, even if LA wins again.
Instead, have some faith in Atlanta, which will fetch a nice price, given the name and experience of the starting pitcher and Game 3’s result.
The Braves will be a humbled team going into Game 4. Humble, yet hungry for the opportunity to, once again, take a stranglehold on the series.
