Los Angeles Angels
The Angels got Thursday off to travel and will face Adam Plutko on Saturday after Mike Clevinger on Friday.
Plutko has been good for Cleveland since returning from missing the first two weeks of July. He’s pitched into the sixth inning in all three of his starts (though he only got through the sixth in one) and went seven in the best one.

Albert Pujols earlier this season became the fifth player in baseball history to drive in 2000 runs in his career. He’s 31 behind Cap Anson, the fourth man on the all-time list and then another 11 behind A-Rod. He could, conceivably, catch those two this season, though unlikely.
Cleveland Indians
Danny Salazar only gave up two runs in four innings in his season debut on Thursday against the Astros. He gave up four hits, walked three, struck out two, and benefitted from ground ball double plays to end the first and second innings.
It was neither the best, nor the worst way to Salazar to begin his 2019 comeback. He served up solo home runs to George Springer (leading off the game) and Alex Bregman (in the fourth).

The good news is that Cleveland has enough arms that it isn’t depending on Salazar, at least if Corey Kluber comes back healthy. Salazar could end up in the bullpen as a high-leverage guy with all his nasty stuff.
Yasiel Puig made his Indians debut, batting cleanup and going 1-for-3 with a double, walk, and stolen base. Eventually, he will have to serve that 3-game suspension, though.
