Kansas City Royals
Kansas City is first in the Majors in steals but they are still struggling to win games. I will given them credit for not being boring though. Players like Jorge Soler, Hunter Dozier and Adalberto Mondesi give you some reason to tune in now and again. That Whit Merrifield guy is not terrible either. KC needs better pitching though and it is hard to score a ton of runs with their style.

Danny Duffy got a later start to the season and he has been mostly good for the Royals. It seems he is never going to become the elite pitcher he has shown flashes of but he has still be effective for five or six innings. On the road he has been sharper so this could be a spot. The Royals bullpen is not a strength the way it was in their recent glory years.
Texas Rangers
Texas continues to outplay their bad pitching but that could be a little harder if they don’t have Joey Gallo in the lineup – he is questionable right now with a wrist injury. Still it was not him alone that had the Rangers as the second highest scoring offense in the Majors. They seems to be mixing and matching with veterans well while still hoping a core of Mazara and Odor can become a thing.

This will be Ariel Jurado’s third start of the season. He was solid in his last go at the Angels and before long he will be a permanent member of the rotation. He is not going to dominate hitters but taking on KC could be a favourable matchup. Texas relies on its bullpen a lot – 4th most innings – and it has been just so so.
