The Royals have been brutal but were inspired by their local rivals, taking two of three at St. Louis earlier in the week. Oddly, they have a slightly better record on the road than at home. This team is all over the map so don’t make too much of that.

Eric Skoglund has had a couple of good outing this season. The problem is that he has made eight starts so more often than not you are not getting a chance to win. On the road he has been terrible compared to bad at home.
Texas Rangers
The Rangers can hit the ball out of the yard but they are fast finding that if that it is your only skill it is not enough to win with. They are still without Adrian Beltre and Elvis Andrus, an all-star level left side of the infield. That hurts on a team that is already limited.

Mike Minor had something in his return to the Majors as a reliever with Kansas City last year. Back in the rotation with Texas the results have been quite mixed. The Rangers just do not have a lot of great options.
