I think the Rockies are going to enjoy this trip to the Pacific Northwest. Though this game is not going to be as much of an advantage as the others.
Colorado Rockies
Colorado is 4-1 on the road heading into Friday night action. You know they are built to win at home but if they can be above .500 on the road they can really have a nice season. This is a series they have to stay atop the division. It is right their for them.
Charlie Blackmon is a throwback in that he is not the greatest athlete he just gets the job done. This season he is hitting close to .400, showing no age despite the fact that he is actually a fair bit older than the core players of the team. You gotta love rooting for this guy.
Chi Chi Gonzalez obviously has a great name but in his one start, he was far from it. He gave up two homers in just three innings against San Francisco, hardly a slugging team. This is a good matchup for him to get deeper into the game and be more effective.
Seattle Mariners
Seattle is going to struggle until they start to be able to have some real success in more facets of the game. Right now they are neither pitching nor hitting well and with the personnel they have there is just not a lot of hope for that to really change much this season.
Nick Margevicius has appeared in three games but no starts this season. He did make 12 starts for San Diego last season so this does not appear to be an opener kind of situation. It does appear to be a “nothing to see here” kind of spot though. There is no reason to think he is going to have success. He started against the Rox last year with the Padres and gave up 9 runs in less than two innings. It could be that ugly.

You have to be on the same side as the Rockies in this one. That -105 looks like a gift so we should hit it hard.
I also think that total is there for the taking and am really considering parlaying they two for an even greater payoff. This series is about making money.
