The Mets are toast and this is definitely going to be a fade team down the stretch. They don’t score which means their pitching has to be extra fine. They just do not have enough quality arms to be in that space. There is nothing to fear with this group.

Jason Vargas has been a bad acquisition but he becomes somewhat important down the stretch as the Mets look to get through the rest of the year without putting too much strain on anyone important. I know that is hardly an endorsement but they might let Vargas go a little more as a result.
