Luis Castillo, 25 years old out of the Dominican Republic, will make his ninth start of the season. He’s only pitched 40 innings thus far, though, and has struggled.

A year after posting an ERA+ of 142 and a WHIP under 1.10, Castillo is giving up a ton of hits (10.5/9 innings), a few more homers, and striking out about a batter-and-a-half less per 9 innings than he did last season.
Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers get to take their licks against Homer Bailey on Saturday, which I’m betting on going well for the home team.
Ideally, LA gets to Bailey for some runs and also knocks him out early to put Cincinnati’s bullpen in a tougher position for Sunday because Castillo hasn’t been getting deep into games.

Rich Hill’s numbers aren’t pretty so far but it’s very early. He’s only thrown 19 innings after spending a couple of weeks on the Disabled List.
