Cincinnati is not at .500 but they are not totally out of it, especially if they can win some games in this series an hurt one of the teams they would have to catch. The offense is picking up without Puig, they have score 6, 7 and 8 runs on a three game winning streak heading into Wednesday. Eugenio Suarez now has back to back 30 homer seasons.

The Reds have not gotten as much out of Alex Wood as they would have liked this season – he has made just two starts. They have won both and he should give them a chance to run that streak to three. The lefty has proven himself in LA with the Dodgers and gives the Cincy rotation some more depth.
