Baltimore Orioles
Baltimore continues to be the worst team in the Majors and one of the reasons is their terrible performance on the road – they are the only team that still does not have double digit road victories. They are already tracking to be one of the worst teams in recent memory and I can only imagine how bleak things might get once they start dealing.

There is no starter listed at the moment for the O’s. If it winds up being Kevin Gausman there is some measure of a chance even though his mound opposite is probably the best in the game right now. Gausman is far from great but he has his moments and his numbers against the Nats are alright – no homers allowed to current players.
Washington Nationals
The Nats seemed to have righted the ship and then lost all three last weekend at Toronto. This series against geographic rival Baltimore is a chance to get back on track. I know he leads the team in homers but I have to think that Bryce Harper is pressing. He is batting .213, how do you pay 40 million a year for that?

One player who is always in control is ace Max Scherzer. His ERA is minuscule and he is fanning hitters at a rate better than he has in his super successful career. He has lost his last two starts as the Nationals failed to score a run in either. That has to change but there will not be much value with the Nats when he is on the hill against bad teams like the O’s.
