Baltimore Orioles
Nodbody considers Kevin Gausman a prospect or even a developing starting pitcher at this stage in his career. He is supposed to be the ace of the Orioles’ staff, but he just hasn’t grown to be the number one starter he was touted to be.
He hasn’t been a complete disaster, either. Gausman has thrown some great games over the last few seasons but just hasn’t put together enough consistency to be an arm a team can lean on.

He made six starts in April. The first one wasn’t good but the last five were. He went just over 30 innings over those last five starts and gave up 10 earned runs. He walked 8 and struck out 25. If he’s in the zone, he’s good because he’s always been tough to hit.

Trevor Cahill was once considered a bright young pitcher in the game when he broke into the bigs with Oakland in 2009 and enjoyed some success over three seasons.

He has thrown 3 wild pitches, which feels like a lot in just 18 innings. I’m partial to think that he will unwind as he gets more innings under his belt, but Oakland is a little desperate for pitching and as long as Cahill is getting outs, he’ll get starts.
