Atlanta got behind early in New York, a day after losing to the Mets, but rallied in time to avoid losing the last two of a four-game series.
Julio Teheran started the rally with a solo homer and Ender Inciarte tied the game before Ronald Acuna Jr. put the Braves ahead.

The Mets didn’t go quietly, tying the game in the ninth, which set the stage for Nick Markakis’ game-winner in the top of the 10th inning, his fourth hit of the game.
So Atlanta took three of four and stayed a game-and-a-half back in the East. Max Fried will start the first game of a doubleheader on Monday with Washington, making up a game from a week ago.
Washington Nationals
Tanner Roark out-dueled Luis Castillo in the finale of Washington’s series with Cincinnati over the weekend. The Nats took three of four and have now won five out of six, all at home, which is where they will stay for the next four with Atlanta.
Washington remains within striking distance, but it’s just procrastinating at this point, six games back of Philadelphia with only 51 games remaining.
