Arizona Diamondbacks
Zack Godley is a pretty steady pitcher. April was good for him; things got hard in May and he’s been pretty good in June, just mirroring what the Diamondbacks have done as a team.
Arizona has won 12 times in its last 16 games after that terrible stretch during most of May that allowed the Dodgers, among others, get back into shouting distance of first-place in the NL Central.

But the Snakes still have control over the top spot and should welcome back both Robbie Ray Jr. and AJ Pollock relatively soon. Ray should be back this week; he’s making his third rehab outing on Monday. Pollock has been out for nearly six weeks with what was originally a six to eight week diagnosis.
Miami Marlins
Miami hasn’t named a starter between Dan Straily and Wei-Yin Chen in this series. Miami has been equally bad on the road as it has at home this season but actually just thrived, going 5–4, on its longest road trip of the season.
Now for the fun part: Miami will play the next 10 games at home: four against the D’Backs, three against the Mets and then a final three against the in-state rival Tampa Bay Rays.

Four guys with an OPS+ of 120 or more is more than most anybody expected of the Marlins before the season and, despite the bad record, things have gone better for Miami as a team than the consensus expectation.
