Los Angeles Angels
After roughing up Baltimore over the weekend the Angels are going to find things a little bit tougher in this series. They are getting closer and closer to full healthy but the lineup is still missing a big bat in Justin Upton. It is hard to pick on Mike Trout but he might be being too patient. He is one behind Kole Calhoun in homers. Andrelton Simmons is leading the team in hitting but has just four walks on the season, less than one per week.

This looks like Tyler Skaggs’ spot in the rotation. He is well past prospect status now and just hasn’t been able to be the pitcher they thought he would be. He has been a disaster on the road too, ERA over 6. The Angels are solid but unspectacular in the bullpen. That is not a group you want to rely on which you will have to when Skaggs starts.
Minnesota Twins
Minnesota keeps cruising along. They might not look like an elite team on paper but wins are wins and they keep grabbing them. It looks like they are going to rest leading slugger Eddie Rosario but he should be in the lineup for this series opener. He has 13 homers and CJ Cron has been a nice pickup with 9. Mitch Garver already has more homers than last year and is batting .356. Their lineup can be kind of long.

Jose Berrios is expected to be the starter for this one. He has been excellent this season and the team has gone 7-1 in his starts so far. His last outing was a 3-0 shutout of the Blue Jays but this one should be tougher. Minnesota’s bullpen has been lights out of late with an ERA of 1.06 over the last 7 games. The key has been walking next to nobody.
