Two of the elite teams in the MAC conference meetup for the last game of the year, as the Western Michigan Broncos head out on the road for this game with the Ball State Cardinals at Scheumann Stadium in Muncie, Indiana.
This game is for first place in the MAC-West, so both of these teams will come into this contest and based on the spread we currently have we should have a tight and interesting game come Saturday.
Western Michigan Broncos
The Western Michigan Broncos were really disappointing last time out from a defensive perspective, as their offense did enough to win the game, but they gave up 53 total points which is not exactly a recipe for success. The Broncos also turned the ball over 3 times in that last game and were unable to turnover the Eastern Michigan Eagles which proved to be critical in that contest, as it was tight from an overall yards gained perspective.
Western Michigan will need Kaleb Eleby to continue doing what he has been doing all season which is crushing, as he has a 16-1 TD to INT ratio and has nearly 300 passing yards per game.
Ball State Cardinals
Ball state started the year off poorly with a loss, but have since rattled off 4 straight wins and they may just have the key to victory with the running game and Caleb Huntley here, as they tend to be able to run the ball well, and the Broncos have not been good at stopping the rush in 2020.
Senior QB Drew Plitt will also be looking forward to this one, as he has been having a decent enough year and he will get an A+ matchup here on Saturday to go and pick up the victory and pad those stats.
