The Nevada Wolfpack will travel all the way to Martin Stadium as they take on of the biggest teams in the nation: Washington State Cougars.
The 18th ranked Cougars will look to continue their hot trend, while the Nevada is looking for a win.
The Cougars offense is so hot they are averaging 43.3 points per game which is 20th in the nation.
Nevada Wolf Pack
The Nevada Wolfpack could not pick up their first victory of the season last weekend as they suffered a close defeat against the Idaho State Bengals 30-28.
However the Wolfpack did almost pull off an impressive comeback as they trailed big time.
Starting the third quarter, the Wolfpack would be down by 23 points but would score three straight touchdowns to make it interesting. It was the most fight I have seen in the wolfpack since the start of the season.
Leading that charge was Keymen Cureton who had 205 passing yards and three touchdowns. Nevada is more of a passing first team as they don’t lean on the rush too much.
Jaxson Kincaide and Kelton Moore led the charge on the rushing attack as they had 96 rushing yards per player. Surprisingly, the rushing attack started to come to life late in the game.
If the Wolfpack want to have a huge upset against the 18th best team in the nation, they must get the ground game going.
Washington State Cougars
Another impressive win by the Washington State Cougars gave them another jump in the AP poll all the way to 18th best in the nation. The Cougars in their recent game would go right past the Oregon State Beavers 52-23.
This was their first Pac-12 game as they are looking to be playing in that Rose Bowl game. Leading the charge was captain and quarterback Luke Falk who is having an insane season thus far. Falk had 396 passing yards and six touchdowns.
He tied his own-school record with six passing touchdowns in a single game, and if you’re breaking your own records for the school, he might be a little better than average.
On the receiving end, Tavares Martin Jr was Falk favorite target with 194 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Another receiver who had a great game was Isaiah Johnson-Mack with 79 receiving yards.
