The FAU Owls could not have been much more impressive last week beating Old Dominion by 38 points and completely dominating the game. They cannot sit on their laurels, however, as they now get a super tough WKU in their building.

The Hilltoppers will be kicking themselves as their 4 game winning streak was stopped last week in a game the Hilltoppers really should have won. Their opponents hit a 53 yard field goal and the Hilltoppers turned the ball over 3 times to Marshall’s 0 turnovers.

This FAU Owls defense really came to play last time out and held Old Dominion to 204 yards. This defense has been a strong point for this team so far as they have only allowed over 30 points once in the last 5 games. Look for leading tackler Rashad Smith (56 tackles) and this defense to once again step up in a big game and take it to this WKU offense.

From a QB perspective the Owls are in really good hands with sophomore Chris Robinson starting under center. He has 2131 passing yards and an outstanding 15-4 TD-INT ratio.

The only real knock on the guy is that he is a pocket passer and does not really move the sticks with his legs. Therefore they must rely on freshman RB Malcolm Davidson to carry a decent workload here and get the running game going against what has been a very decent front 7 from Western Kentucky.

Western Kentucky Hilltoppers

The Hilltoppers should be keeping their head held high after that last performance as they should have come out with the straight win against a solid Marshall Thundering Herd team.

Junior runningback was big in that last game with 2 TD’s and over 100 rushing yards on limited opportunities. He should get some serious run here and if he can get going and help sustain drives it will put WKU in a very dominant position.

Ty Storey is the kind of QB who won’t lose you a game as he only has 2 interceptions on the year and tends to play it quite safe. He does not run the ball very effectively so Gaej Walker is key here for the Hilltoppers.
