The Sun Devils were knocking on the door of winning a game with solid performances in their first two games which came up in losses, but they certainly showed up last week against their in-state rivals Arizona who they managed to beat by a score of 70-7. That should give this team a ton of confidence heading into Saturday’s game and they do have a good chance of getting the job done here, as they are currently 7 point favorites over the Beavers.
Oregon State on the other side has been up and down all season and were really disappointing against the Cardinal last time out, so they will be looking for a bounce-back here, but it is by no means an easy spot to do so.
Arizona State Sun Devils
The Sun Devils were impressive in their last game, but that 70-7 score was a bit inflated given the fact Arizona turned the ball over a whopping 7 times. They were, earlier in the year, very competitive with UCLA and USC, so even though that last game was a bit inflated by turnovers I do believe there is quite a bit of quality in this team and they should have plenty of advantages over the Beavers here.
I think the Sun Devils can hop out to a lead in this one, so look out for junior RB Rachaad White who very well could have a big game here with the Sun Devils playing from ahead.
Oregon State Beavers
Another junior RB to look out for this Saturday will be Jermar Jefferson for the Beavers, as he has been this team’s main offensive weapon in 2020 and that should not change here in this one.
QB Chance Nolan also looked pretty good in that effort against Stanford throwing for 3 touchdowns and keeping things clean by not throwing a pick and with my expectation that the Beavers will be playing from behind he might need to throw the ball plenty here.
