Alabama gets what many people are calling a tune-up week facing off against Western Carolina. A week after the Crimson Tide’s star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was injured and carted off the field.
Tagovailoa was diagnosed with a dislocated hip and was airlifted to a Houston hospital over the weekend. The Junior quarterback is now out for the season and the Crimson Tide will have to try and fill the void of their Heisman competing quarterback.

Western Carolina comes into the game at 3-8, dropping their last game and having some serious trouble on the road. The Catamounts find themselves at 1-4 on the road this year and trying to turn this around against one of the best teams in the country.
Alabama Crimson Tide
The Crimson Tide are trying to find themselves a quarterback after seeing their Heisman quarterback Tua Tagovailoa go down on Saturday. Now with less firepower in the backfield for the Crimson Tide, you can certainly expect Najee Harris to get a bulk of the offensive touches at running back.
The junior running back is expected to take more of the load than usual which could be a good thing for Alabama. Harris has 15 total touchdowns on the year and has over 1100 yards of total offense to his name.

Even with Tua out for the Crimson Tide, the Alabama defense has stolen the show multiple times this year. I expect this matchup to be no different stopping the FCS Catamounts at home.
Western Carolina Catamounts
Western Carolina has not been a team that you would have to look out for at the FBS level, or even the FCS level through their first 11 games. The Catamounts have posted a 3-8 record and have only been able to score 19.5 points a game. That number gets even worse if you look at their away trends.
To make matters worse, the Catamounts have given up 36 points a game to their opponents a game which has left them in the dust. The last time the Western Carolina Catamounts played the Crimson Tide, the Catamounts rushed for -8 yards.
We should see a pretty wide gap in talent between the two teams as the Catamounts are a paid visitor to Bryant-Denny Stadium. Don’t expect a miracle to happen on the road for WCU.
