Alabama has cruised through the regular season and the expectation is that the playoffs might not offer much resistance either. This number opened as low as 11 in some shops and keeps going up.
I know Bama is super dominant but it is hard to imagine it could go much higher, isn’t it?

Washington delivered on the preseason hype with a PAC12 winning season. Their only loss was at home to USC, a team that Alabama clobbered to start the year.
Washington is very well coached and has great athletes all along the roster. I do think they can give the Tide a game.
Alabama Crimson Tide
There is no real weakness to this team. The defense gets all of the accolades but the offense is scoring 40ppg too. Jalen Hurts has exceeded all expectations as a freshman.
He does not make a lot of mistakes but at the same time he puts a lot of pressure on the defense because he knows he can take a chance too.
Alabama might not be a pure pro style offense but they are very balanced and when the ball is not in Hurts’ hands it is usually in the those of someone who can make a big play.

Defensively, the Huskies thrive with a good secondary, led by CB Shawun Lurry and safety Brandon Mayes. Still, the Huskies only had a league-average defense in the MAC in 2015, so there could be some soft spots for the Cowboys to expose.
Also, expect Northern Illinois’s special teams units to shine, thanks to all-MAC kicker Christian Hagan and electric KR/PR Argeros Turner.
Washington Huskies
The Huskies rebounded from their home loss to USC by beating up rival Washington State in the Apple Cup and then Colorado in the PAC 12 title game.
They also score a lot of points while having a strong defense. Jake Browning probably does not get the attention he deserves nor does RB Myles Gaskin, nor receivers John Ross or Dante Pettis.
Those three skill players can turn any carry or catch into a touchdown and will keep Alabama on their toes. The key will be whether the line can keep Browning upright against a strong pass rush.

The defense was consistent all season never giving up more than 28 points in any one game, even their lone loss.
Playing in the PAC 12 they had the opportunity to slug it out with Stanford as well as deal with the throw happy offenses of Cal and Wazzu so there is nothing they have not seen this season.
On defense it is going to be all about making the plays that are there and not trying to do too much individually. The talent is there for them to compete.

There is really no line that this Alabama team can’t cover but I am still surprised that this number continues to grow.
It is not even about the talent so much. Nick Saban’s records is phenomenal but Chris Peterson is probably the second best coach in the college ranks and he knows how to get his team ready for a big game.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Washington +16
It would not surprise me if this one goes up even a little bit more so I wouldn’t run to the window (just get +14.5 or better). I think Peterson will have his troops ready and unless this is a slaughter it could look a lot like last year’s game against Clemson in the title game.
Lots of offense with Bama making just a play or two more to get them the victory.
