Boston is playing a back-to-back set having beat the Bulls 117-94 on Wednesday while the Bucks also last played the Bulls beating them 127-106 on Tuesday.

There’s also the potential for both these teams to try to lose this match in order to fall into the third seed so they get to play the reeling Bulls instead of the potential of playing the Nets.
Al Horford (rest) and Nik Stauskas (ankle) are questionable for Thursday. Robert Williams III (knee) under knee surgery to deal with a slightly torn meniscus and will be out between four and six weeks.
Milwaukee Bucks
A couple of things are in play for Milwaukee as they close out the season. As noted they trail the Celtics by a half-game but winning this match would give them the tiebreaker because of winning the division.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is in play to win the Most Valuable Player award and could potentially also win the scoring title. It’s unlikely Giannis is concerned about either personal accolade since his main thrust has always been just about winning.
The Bucks have three games left to play with this match against the Celts – their final regular-season home game followed by games in Detroit on Friday and the final game in Cleveland on Sunday.
Typically teams would look to rest some of their core down the stretch but the seeds are so uncertain that hasn’t occurred as much.
Certainly, matches against the Pistons and Cavaliers could result in that happening anyway since the Bucks can beat both teams even if they rest one or two of their big three.
Antetokounmpo (knee) is probable while Grayson Allen (hip) is questionable to play Thursday versus the Celtics. De’Andre Bembry (knee) is out indefinitely.

For Boston to lose Robert Williams at this point in the season is a devastating blow. Sure they still have Al Horford who will look to channel his ability to shut down a superstar as he did to Embiid a few seasons back.
It’s a bit of a gamble either way since none of the top teams are overly keen to face the Raptors either and their seed is also uncertain but likely to be fifth or sixth.
Of the two teams, I doubt the Bucks care who they play as they’ve had the championship swagger all season and with Brook Lopez back are looking even more confident. Since this is the final home game until the playoffs I’m going to bank on them wanting this one for the fans.
However, I like the six points so I’ll take the Celts and the points (but the Bucks to win)
