04-24-24 | Golden Knights v. Stars -173 | Top | 3-1 | Loss | -173 | 15 h 43 m | Show |
Rotation #4 NHL Wednesday Dallas Stars -175 vs Vegas Golden Knights @ 9:30 ET - The Stars outshot the Knights in every single period of the Game 1 loss. What went wrong? Vegas was 2 for 2 on the power play and the goals were key. The first gave the Golden Knights a 1-0 lead. The 2nd came right after the Stars had cut a 2-0 deficit to 2-1. That made it 3-1 and Dallas just never could get the equalizer even though they battled hard throughout. Give Vegas credit as they got the early jump on Dallas and stole Game 1 on the road. However, there is a reason the Stars are priced as a higher favorite here as the odds makers and sharps are lining up on this one. It will be payback for Dallas. We can reduce the star rating on this play to avoid too big of a risk amount but I absolutely prefer the money line over the puck line and am confident Oettinger will bounce back after a tough game in goal, one of his worst starts of the season. Keep in mind, Oettinger and the Stars did drop the first game of every series last season and yet still almost made it to the Stanley Cup finals. The team that ended their run? These Golden Knights. Now, after dropping Game 1, the revenge payback starts here in what will be relentless effort from a desperate Dallas club on home ice! DALLAS -175 |

04-22-24 | Golden Knights v. Stars -135 | Top | 4-3 | Loss | -135 | 11 h 9 m | Show |
Rotation #66: NHL Monday Dallas Stars Money Line -135 vs Vegas Golden Knights @ 9:30 ET - Revenge from last year's post-season. Goaltending is so important in the post-season and Oettinger has been fantastic for the Stars down the stretch run and also has a league-best 24 wins since the 1st of January. Keep in mind, Vegas counted on Adin Hill in last year's post-season but he has been inconsistent this season so the Golden Knights might turn to Logan Thompson in this series and possibly even right out of the gate. However, Thompson is lacking something that is quite important this time of year and that is playoff experience. This Knights team battled injury issues this season and though some of those guys are now back, including Mark Stone, this team is just not on the level of last year's team. Vegas did win all 3 match-ups with the Stars this season. This included 2 in Dallas but the Golden Knights won just 16 of their other 39 road games this season. Also, the Stars won 26 of their other 39 home games! Vegas finished up the season with losses in 14 of last 27 games while Dallas wrapped the season with wins in 17 of their last 21 games and earned the top seed in the West. Now home ice, revenge, goalie edge, momentum edge, etc. are factors combining to put the Stars in a value spot for backing them to open this series with a big win and 1-0 series lead here. There is a reason the price is rising on this Stars team even with Vegas now returning to health plus being the defending champs. Don't hesitate to lay the price here! DALLAS -135 |

04-21-24 | Capitals v. Rangers -220 | Top | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 8 h 42 m | Show |
Rotation #54 NHL Sunday New York Rangers Money Line -220 vs Washington Capitals @ 3 ET - Long time followers know that I rarely ever play a favorite in this range but this is a unique situation. First off I like the Rangers a lot here and might normally play the puck line in a spot like this or perhaps take a look at the regulation line. However, here is a key stat that will help you feel more comfortable with laying the price here also. The Rangers were 30-11 on home ice this season and had ZERO losses after regulation time when on home ice. They also are the much better team on special teams. Also, the Capitals lost a couple 20-minute defensemen late this season and that has hurt the D-men depth for them and those guys are now question marks as to their health. Washington barely got the win at Philly and punched their ticket to the post-season at the very end of the season. Prior to that win on the road the Caps had lost 4 of last 5 road games. Yes, Washington won their final 3 regular season games (2 on home ice) but this followed losing 7 of 8 overall. They are not the same team they use to be when they made the post-season two years ago and had guys like Backstrom, Kuznetsov, Eller, Sheary, Orlov and Mantha. Yes, they still have Ovechkin and Oshie and Carlson and Wilson plus they now have Strome. However, this team has definitely regressed and barely snuck into the post-season through the backdoor. Give them credit for that but their goal differential compared to the Rangers is a 90-goal variance in favor of New York and the hosts are the healthier team here. The health of defensemen Jensen and Sandin is a big concern for the Caps here. Rare bigger money line price for me but worth an investment as one could argue it should be closer to -300! This Rangers team won 75% of home games this season! NEW YORK RANGERS -220 |

04-13-24 | Devils v. Flyers -118 | Top | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 30 m | Show |
NHL Saturday: Philadelphia Flyers Money Line (-) vs New Jersey Devils @ 5 ET - The Flyers are not dead yet. They just got a huge win over the Rangers 4 to 1 to stay alive. Note that the Red Wings, Islanders, Penguins and Capitals are all battling with the Flyers for the final two spots available. Of these other 4 teams, they are ALL underdogs today! The point is that Philly knows they have a tough game with New Jersey here but they also know they have a great shot to stay alive because the odds favor the other teams faltering. The Flyers have to take care of business on their own and they have a lot of momentum and positive vibes after saving their season with a huge upset win of the Rangers. They got solid goalie work and won 4-1 at New York. Now they are on home ice facing a Devils team that has had big time goalie issues. Kahkonen could start here but he has been dealing with a lower body injury. He is back now but this would be his first long-term action in over a week. Also, he has allowed 5 goals in his last 66 minutes on the ice! Jake Allen has allowed 4 goals in each of his last two appearances. The desperate Flyers will be the more determined team here and also I look for another strong start from goalie Samuel Ersson. He has been strong on home ice in most of his outings dating back to the All-Star break and now he comes into this one off the great start against the Rangers in New York. He'll be rock solid here! The Devils allowed 5 goals but got the win over the Maple Leafs in most recent game. But they have been allowing a lot of goals of late and I am happy to fade them off a win. We are now in mid-April and in the two month period dating back to mid-February, the Devils have won B2B games only twice! Also, New Jersey is 0-6 when off a win in which they allowed 3 or more goals. That run becomes 7 in a row here. These teams are division rivals and the games are always important and adding to the value with the Flyers is the revenge aspect after the Devils beat them in the outdoor game at MetLife Stadium when these teams met two months ago. Flyers played hard there but were on the wrong end. They get payback here and keep their slim playoff hopes alive in the process. Price is a bargain currently in the -120 range. Lay it! PHILADELPHIA (-)Â |

04-09-24 | Flyers -133 v. Canadiens | Top | 3-9 | Loss | -133 | 7 h 29 m | Show |
NHL Tuesday: Philadelphia Flyers Money Line (-) @ Montreal Canadiens @ 7 ET - This is it for the Flyers. Essentially a must-win to keep playoff hopes alive. They face a Montreal team that has lost 4 of 5 and the Canadiens were outscored 19 to 8 in the 4 losses. One of the recent wins the Habs have was against the Flyers so this is a revenge spot for Philly. As bad as things have been for the Flyers, they are still mathematically alive and they have a tough road game on deck so they must get this one here knowing their final two games of the season are winnable ones on home ice. On a losing streak, Philly responds here with one of their best games of the season and that proves to be enough in this revenge spot versus the Canadiens. The line is in the -135 range and offers solid value. PHILADELPHIA (-) |
|||||||
04-09-24 | Capitals +138 v. Red Wings | Top | 2-1 | Win | 138 | 7 h 49 m | Show |
NHL Tuesday Washington Capitals +140 @ Detroit Red Wings @ 7 ET - Like the Flyers tonight, this is another playoff hopeful that is mired in a losing streak. One of the things I like about the Capitals here is that TJ Oshie did travel with the team for this 2- game road trip and that is a huge boost even if he is not on the ice tonight but I do expect him out there. Even if he does not go you are talking about a Washington team with their backs to the wall and the underdog price is what makes this one a huge value. The Red Wings are off a win but this followed losing 13 of 17 games and during this stretch Detroit only won B2B games one time. I am going to challenge the Red Wings to win B2B games here and grab the underdog price with a Capitals team ready to circle the wagons for this one and come up with a huge performance on the road boosted by the impending return of Oshie - possibly even tonight! WASHINGTON +140 |

04-06-24 | Flyers -150 v. Blue Jackets | Top | 2-6 | Loss | -150 | 5 h 40 m | Show |
NHL Saturday Philadelphia Flyers -150 @ Columbus Blue Jackets @ 7 ET -Â Must win for the Flyers and I know they have been on a losing streak but now they face one of the worst teams in the league. Finally Philly gets on track here. Flyers won the first two games by a combined score of 9 to 4 but the Jackets won the most recent one 3-2 in the shootout. This will be payback. Blue Jackets down to their #3 goalie Jet Greaves and he has only 4 NHL starts under his belt in his career and he is 1-4 all time with a GAA north of 3 in his young career. PHILADELPHIA (-)Â |
|||||||
04-05-24 | Flyers +108 v. Sabres | Top | 2-4 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 58 m | Show |
NHL Friday Philadelphia Flyers Money Line +105 @ Buffalo Sabres @ 7 ET - Huge playoff implications here. The Flyers are 0-3-2 last 5 games but have only one other 5-game losing streak this season. That one ended at 5 games and this one will too. The road team has won 5 of the last 6 meetings between these clubs and the lone exception was the Flyers winning on home ice. Look for the road team trend to continue between these clubs and Philly avoids what would be their longest winning streak of the season. The Sabres sent Levi back to the minors so they are carrying Luukkonen and Comrie as their two goalies right now. Luukkonen has been quite inconsistent of late. He had a recent start that he was pulled before the 9 minute mark so, essentially, his last 5 starts have amount to normal total minutes of 4 starts and over this span of an equivalent 4 starts he has allowed 18 goals - an average of 4.5 goals per 60 minutes! Comrie has played sparingly this season and would be rusty if called upon here and he has a 3.91 GAA on the season. The Flyers have had issues of their own of late but 3 of the 5 teams they lost to (and 2 of those 3 were the OT games) were solid playoff-level teams. The Sabres are a solid team but, for the reasons above, this is the ideal situation to back a Flyers team in a perfect spot to get back on track and at an underdog price. PHILADELPHIA +105 |
|||||||
04-04-24 | Penguins -109 v. Capitals | Top | 4-1 | Win | 100 | 5 h 49 m | Show |
NHL Thursday Pittsburgh Penguins -110 @ Washington Capitals @ 7 ET - Not only has Pittsburgh not given up yet on the season, they have the goalie edge in this huge showdown with Washington Thursday. Nedeljkovic is 4-0-1 in his last 5 starts and did not allow more than 3 goals in any of those games. Not only that, Washington's Lindgren is struggling between the pipes of late. The Capitals goalie has allowed at least 5 goals in 2 of this last 3 starts and lost all 3 games! Both teams have been playing well as they make a late-season push for the playoffs but the goalie edge is the key here with the road team in this one. Also, TJ Oshie is out again for the Caps in this one. PITTSBURGH -110 |
|||||||
04-01-24 | Islanders v. Flyers -113 | Top | 4-3 | Loss | -113 | 10 h 5 m | Show |
NHL Monday Philadelphia Flyers Money Line (-) vs New York Islanders @ 7 ET - Huge game in the post-season landscape and a divisional battle. I like the home ice edge here. Yes the Flyers are off an embarrassing 5-1 home loss to the Blackhawks but this followed having won 8 of last 12 games played on home ice. Conversely, the Islanders are not winning on the road. They truly are not winning anywhere right now. New York enters this one having lost 8 of 10 games overall and 5 of last 6 on the road. The Flyers stop the bleeding here and they are getting a little healthier on defense. They will also respond on the offensive side of the ice after a rare tough performance on home ice versus Chicago. This is a bargain price for home ice when you consider the Isles recent road struggles. Huge game, small price due to recent events and that means extraordinary line value with this one in the -115 range. Lay it! PHILADELPHIA (-) |
|||||||
03-28-24 | Capitals v. Maple Leafs -170 | Top | 1-5 | Win | 100 | 10 h 60 m | Show |
NHL Thursday Toronto Maple Leafs Money Line (-) vs Washington Capitals @ 7 ET - This line is a little on the pricey side - in the -175 range - but there are two ways to look at that. One is that it may seem risky to lay a higher price but the other way to view is that normally the Maple Leafs would be at least a -200 favorite, if not -225 or -250, when on home ice against the Capitals. The reason we are getting line value here is because the Caps have been hotter of late and that is keeping this line a lower than we would otherwise see. Keep in mind, Toronto has hammered Washington by a combined score of 11 to 4 in their two meetings this season and that includes one last week. Also, the Leafs should get a boost here with Samsonov likely to be back between the pipes as he recovered from a leg contusion. He is 11-3-2 at home this season. For the Capitals, they enter this one on a 3-game winning streak but have only 1 winning streak of more than 3 games this season! When they enter a game off exactly 3 straight wins, the streak has ended in all but one case this season. Washington going 1-4 in this situation. Some of the recent wins for the Capitals have come against slumping teams or teams that will miss the post-season. Don't get me wrong, the Caps have been playing better but keep this in mind plus the Leafs are on home ice and angry off B2B losses. TORONTO (-) |
|||||||
03-28-24 | Flyers -146 v. Canadiens | Top | 1-4 | Loss | -146 | 10 h 42 m | Show |
NHL Thursday Philadelphia Flyers Money Line (-) @ Montreal Canadiens @ 7 ET - Monday is April 1st and this NO April Fools joke ladies and gentleman ... the Flyers have NOT lost 3 straight games since January and YES they are entering this game off B2B losses! I don't see this streak coming to an end. The Flyers have been playing a brutal schedule of late and they know they must take advantage of a rare reprieve as they look to remain in the #3 spot in the Metropolitan Division. The Flyers have played 7 straight games and 9 of 10 games against teams that are going to be in the playoffs. Now they have a break in the schedule finally and face a team that is in the bottom of the Atlantic Division. Even though off of B2B wins, the Canadiens are still tied with the Blue Jackets for least home wins in the Eastern Conference. Home ice has been nothing special for the Habs and they are now playing their first home game after a long road trip and that first game after such a trip tends to be very tough more often that not. Montreal has lost 18 of last 26 on home ice. PHILADELPHIA (-) |
|||||||
03-24-24 | Panthers v. Flyers +135 | Top | 4-1 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 7 m | Show |
NHL Sunday Philadelphia Flyers +135 vs Florida Panthers @ 6 ET - The Panthers are banged up and have lost 4 straight games! Florida has been outscored 16 to 6 during this stretch. Florida is overvalued here against a scrappy Flyers team that continues to battle to remain in a playoff position and got the win again over a tough Bruins team yesterday! Philly has enjoyed recent success against the Panthers too including winning both games this season. With Florida dealing with injuries and negative emotions while the Flyers are winning and have positive vibes stemming from winning 5 of last 7 on home ice. PHILADELPHIA +135 |
|||||||
03-19-24 | Maple Leafs v. Flyers +115 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 115 | 7 h 49 m | Show |
NHL Tuesday Philadelphia Flyers +115 vs Toronto Maple Leafs @ 7 ET - The Flyers are out for revenge here. Tortorella is back on the bench and they just fell short in a wild 6-5 loss to Boston after an ugly home loss to the Leafs last week by a 6-2 count. Philly will be much better here on home ice and in revenge mode coming off such an ugly loss in front of their own fans. The Flyers are dealing with injuries to defense but are still battling hard and have been even in shots on goal in their recent games with the Bruins and Maple Leafs. Philly has scored 10 goals in their last 3 games and the Leafs big win over the Flyers is their only win by more than 1 goal in their last 7 games. In that stretch Toronto also had an OT win, a SO win, 3 losses and one other win by just 1 goal. The point is that the Leafs have been far from dominating and the Flyers are 3-0 the L3 times they entered a game on a losing streak of 2 or more games. PHILADELPHIA +115 |
|||||||
03-18-24 | Capitals v. Flames -130 | Top | 5-2 | Loss | -130 | 13 h 21 m | Show |
NHL Monday Calgary Flames -130 vs Washington Capitals @ 8:35 ET - The Flames have finally got going again with some solid goalie work and they are off back to back wins by a combined score of 9 to 3. Not only that, Calgary has now won 6 of last 8 home games! This is the Flames only game between this past Saturday and next Saturday so they are fully focused here! Important win for Calgary before nice break in the action to rest mentally and physically! I expect a very focused Flames team here. At the same time, I expect the Capitals could struggle here. Washington is wrapping up a 5-game road trip and has huge 4-game homestand on deck. This is the kind of spot where a team can come out flat as, in their minds, they are already halfway back going home! I know the Caps are off B2B road wins but this followed losing 4 of 5 on the road and the combined score of those 4 defeats was 21 to 7! Washington has scored only 6 goals last 4 games. Look for the Flames to be too much here on home ice and I love this scheduling situation. CALGARY -130 |
|||||||
03-09-24 | Flyers +131 v. Lightning | Top | 0-7 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 10 m | Show |
NHL Philadelphia Flyers +130 @ Tampa Bay Lightning @ 7 ET - The Bolts remain over-rated. They are still a solid team but Vasilevskiy having a tough season and the Lightning overall have lost 8 of 14 games. The Flyers have won 8 of 14 games and continue to have a surprisingly strong season. So the value in this line clearly lies with Philly. Both the first two meetings were high-scoring and the teams did split these games but the Flyers have been the team getting the better goalie work of late and that will be the difference here. They have allowed 2 or less goals in 6 of last 8 games. The Lightning have allowed an average of 4 goals in last 9 games. PHILADELPHIA +130 |
|||||||
03-07-24 | Flyers +206 v. Panthers | Top | 2-1 | Win | 206 | 6 h 12 m | Show |
NHL Thursday Philadelphia Flyers +205 @ Florida Panthers @ 7 ET - The Flyers match up well with the Panthers. Since losing in their first meeting last season, Philadelphia has now beaten Florida 3 straight times including earlier this season as well. The point is that Florida certainly deserves being a large favorite here on an overall basis as they are one of the top teams in the NHL but this Flyers team is offering huge underdog line value here as a result. They deserve a look as a big +200 dog in this one. Philly has won 5 of last 9 road games and Florida has lost 5 of last 12 home games. Don't be surprised if the 2 to 1 DOG gets the big upset here. The Flyers are off a loss and will be in bounce back mode here while the Panthers have won 6 straight games but only have 1 streak longer than that this season. In other words, this streak is reaching its breaking point and Florida is playing the first game back home after a 3-game road trip. That also makes this a tricky spot for the hosts. PHILADELPHIA +205Â |
|||||||
03-01-24 | Flyers -132 v. Capitals | Top | 2-5 | Loss | -132 | 7 h 13 m | Show |
NHL Friday Top Play Philadelphia Flyers -135 @ Washington Capitals @ 7 ET - Probably it will be Ersson between the pipes here for Philly but even if it is Sandstrom I still like this play. Philly has won 6 of 10 games since the All-Star break and is coming off a huge 6-2 win versus Tampa Bay. Conversely, Washington is coming off a loss to Detroit by a count of 8-3. Even though the Capitals were playing a little better they now are without TJ Oshie and it continues to be a challenging season. They will have Wilson back tonight but the Flyers have an enforcer to match him and Wilson's presence will just spur on the Flyers even more as this is a solid divisional rivalry match-up and he is an agitator. Philly has been plenty motivated on their own anyway as they have really responded well this season and grown well as a team this season. They are a legitimate threat for making the post-season and currently are in a playoff position. The same can not be said for Washington and the Capitals are also still without Nic Dowd for this one too as they have had injury issues for much of this season. The Flyers have a +5.6 shot differential this season while the Capitals have a -3.3 shot differential on the season. These per game averages further reflect how the Flyers have been the stronger team this season and that continues in this match-up tonight. Lay it! Philadelphia -135 |
|||||||
02-27-24 | Lightning v. Flyers +121 | Top | 2-6 | Win | 121 | 6 h 55 m | Show |
NHL Tuesday Philadelphia Flyers +120 vs Tampa Bay Lightning @ 7 ET - The Flyers Ersson has been better in goal than Vasilevskiy this season and that includes recent action as well. The Flyers are off an ugly 7-6 loss but Cal Petersen was in goal for that one. With Ersson back between the pipes and with Philly a solid home dog here, the value is strong in this one. The Flyers also have revenge from a 6-3 home loss when these teams met last month. Yes the Bolts are off B2B wins but this was preceded by losses in 5 of last 8 games. The Flyers, on the other hand, off B2B losses but had won 5 of 7 prior that. Also, Philly had won 3 straight on home ice prior to loss in most recent home game against a tough Rangers team. This Lightning team is over-rated right now especially because Vasilevskiy just has not been himself. Grab the home dog in this one! PHILADELPHIA +120 |
|||||||
02-24-24 | Rangers v. Flyers +120 | Top | 2-1 | Loss | -100 | 2 h 20 m | Show |
NHL Saturday Philadelphia Flyers Money Line +120 vs New York Rangers @ 3 ET - Looks too easy, right? The Rangers have won 9 straight games but are laying a very short price on the road here. Don't be fooled in this one. Note that the Central Division leading Stars have lost 4 straight and the Pacific Division leading Canucks have lost 4 straight. The point is that even the top teams hit some speed bumps. Now certainly the Rangers have been red hot but there is a reason this game is priced this way. The Flyers have been playing very solid hockey and have won 5 of 7 games and that included wins over the Jets and Panthers. Philly has won 3 straight on home ice and this is their first game on home ice in nearly two weeks. They will make the most of it. The Rangers are off a win at New Jersey but, prior to this, the only other road wins in their streak were against bad teams that are at the bottom of their divisions - Ottawa and Chicago. Prior to this, since the calendar hit 2024, the Rangers were 1-6 in road games this year. Grab the home dog value here. PHILADELPHIA +120 |
|||||||
02-22-24 | Canucks -120 v. Seattle Kraken | Top | 2-5 | Loss | -120 | 7 h 10 m | Show |
NHL Thursday Vancouver Canucks -120 @ Seattle Kraken @ 10:05 ET - Road team has won both meetings between these nearby rivals this season. The Canucks have lost 3 straight games for the first time this season but have faced some tough games. Prior to this, Vancouver had won 13 of 17 games and now face a Seattle team that is not so tough! The Kraken have lost 9 of 13 games and the Canucks come into this one angry. Look for Vancouver to be the more aggressive team from the get-go and they average a goal more per game than Seattle on the season. Their production leads the way to a road win here. VANCOUVER -120 |
|||||||
02-19-24 | Jets -124 v. Flames | Top | 3-6 | Loss | -124 | 7 h 15 m | Show |
NHL Monday Winnipeg Jets -125 @ Calgary Flames @ 4 ET - The Jets have revenge for a 5-3 loss here at the beginning of the season. Winnipeg comes in hot with 3 straight wins plus the Jets have allowed only 2.27 goals per game this season as they are so strong defensively and in goal. Conversely, the Flames have lost 3 straight games and Markstrom got pulled in the most recent game and Vladar had been on the IR. He is back now but he and Wolf have both failed to impress and Markstrom is generally very streaky. Calgary has lost 3 straight games by a combined score of 13 to 3 and I look at this is the perfect spot to get the Jets at a great price because they are on the road for this one. WINNIPEG -125 |
|||||||
02-17-24 | Flyers +125 v. Devils | Top | 3-6 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 40 m | Show |
NHL Saturday Philadelphia Flyers Money Line +125 @ New Jersey Devils @ 8 ET - Outdoor Game at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ - The Flyers offer a lot of value in this game. They are a sizable underdog coming off a loss after winning 4 straight games. They have not lost a game in regulation since late January before the All-Star break. The road team has won both games between these teams this season and this is a key divisional game and there is little home ice edge. The Devils are off a loss and have been stumbling a bit. The last 5 losing streaks have included a 1-gamer and FOUR 2-gamers. In other words, the Devils have been consistently unable to bounce back off a standalone loss. Also, New Jersey has lost 5 of last 8 on home ice so I feel we have value backed into the line here as the home ice edge is non-existent in a game like this. Flyers get the win as the Devils lose for the 11th time last 17 games. The Flyers are the better team in terms of limiting goals against and limiting shots on goal and defense and solid goaltending from Ersson lead the way in this one. PHILADELPHIA +125 |
|||||||
02-15-24 | Flyers +135 v. Maple Leafs | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 36 m | Show |
NHL Thursday Philadelphia Flyers +135 @ Toronto Maple Leafs @ 7 ET - This is too strong of a dog value to pass up. The Maple Leafs have 13 wins on home ice this season but the Flyers have 15 wins on enemy ice this season! Philly continues to be one of the best stories in the NHL this season and they are showing no signs of slowing down. They have won 4 straight games and they are facing a Leafs team that is off a 4-1 win but Toronto had lost 7 of 12 games heading into that one. The Leafs are 0-4 the L4 times they entered a game off a win in which they scored at least 4 goals. The Flyers have allowed just 1.8 goals per game in their 4 games winning streak. The Leafs, prior to the 4-1 win, had allowed 4 goals per game last 3 games. Grab the underdog Flyers as Toronto drops to 0-5 L5 times they were off a win in which they scored at least 4 goals. Philly improves to 5-0 L5 games with an upset underdog win here. Line value. PHILADELPHIA +135 |
|||||||
02-15-24 | Panthers v. Sabres +137 | Top | 4-0 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 3 m | Show |
NHL Thursday Buffalo Sabres Money Line +135 vs Florida Panthers @ 7 ET - Florida is off a big win but against a slumping Penguins club. Plus that victory was last night in Pittsburgh. So here is a nice opportunity to take a home dog and fade a team in a B2B with travel involved. I know the Panthers are a strong club and having a solid season. However, backup goalie Stolarz has not played in a week and, because of the All-Star break too this will be just his 2nd start in 2 and a 1/2 weeks. The Sabres will take advantage on home ice. Buffalo is off a confidence-boosting 7-0 shutout win over LA Tuesday. Not only is that their 3rd win last 5 games, the Sabres scored at least 5 goals in all 3 wins. Amazingly the Sabres have allowed just 1.8 goals last 10 games. Great value on another NHL upset here on the Thursday card. BUFFALO +135 |
|||||||
02-13-24 | Seattle Kraken v. Islanders -154 | Top | 2-1 | Loss | -154 | 6 h 30 m | Show |
NHL Tuesday New York Islanders Money Line -155 vs Seattle Kraken @ 7:37 ET - This line is a little pricey but this is a great situation that favors the hosts. Seattle is in a B2B spot and they are expected to start Philipp Grubauer because of this. He was on long-term injured reserve so do not expect him to just come out and dominate here. Grubauer will be rusty and he was already struggling as it was. Grubauer has lost 10 of 15 decisions and has a 3.25 GAA. Also, this Kraken team is falling apart overall. Seattle has lost 8 of 10 games and scored just 1.4 goals in those 8 losses! The Islanders have won 2 of 3 games since the All-Star break and with Patrick Roy as the new head coach, Ilya Sorokin has responded well. Varlamov has struggled but Sorokin is currently on a 3-1 run that has seen him allow only 9 goals in these 4 starts. Facing a Seattle team in a B2B and also struggling to score goals, Sorokin and the Isles can take full advantage. The Islanders have not only won 2 of 3 but, unlike the Kraken they are scoring decently. New York has scored 11 goals last 3 games and at least - unlike Seattle - averaged a decent 3 goals per game last 8 games. The Isles, showing signs of life under Roy, are worth the price here. NEW YORK ISLANDERS -155 |

02-12-24 | Coyotes v. Flyers -145 | Top | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 8 h 51 m | Show |
NHL Monday Philadelphia Flyers Money Line -145 vs Arizona Coyotes @ 7 ET - The Flyers have won 3 straight games and allowed a total of only 4 goals in these 3 victories. Arizona has lost 5 straight games and allowed an average of 4 goals in these 5 losses! Huge difference between the way these clubs are going right now. Also, the Coyotes have one of the biggest home/road dichotomy factors of any team in the NHL! Arizona is 15-10 at home but has lost 17 of 25 on the road this season! If you just take the home team in Coyotes games this season you are cashing in at a healthy 64% clip! Considering that plus the recent trending of these teams and their goalies, the home team is well worth the price in this one. PHILADELPHIA -145 |
|||||||
02-11-24 | Canucks -164 v. Capitals | Top | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 3 h 31 m | Show |
NHL Sunday Vancouver Canucks -165/-170 @ Washington Capitals @ 1:35 ET - This one is a little higher price than I typically lay but this is a phenomenal spot to back the Canucks and fade Washington. The Capitals are off a rare win yesterday and via shutout fashion. Vancouver lost yesterday and they lost after regulation. They Canucks have been the much better club this season and the Caps are struggling and without a number of players this season that were key parts of this club. The Canucks used their #2 goalie yesterday and the Capitals used their #1 goalie yesterday. That means today will likely be Vancouver #1 Thatcher Demko and Washington #2 Darcy Kuemper. All these factors considered including the situational aspect and you have a great spot to be willing to lay the price here. VANCOUVER -165/-170 |
|||||||
02-10-24 | Oilers -110 v. Kings | Top | 0-4 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 24 m | Show |
NHL Saturday Edmonton Oilers -110 @ Los Angeles Kings @ 7 ET - Kings playing their first game of February as they have been off since the All-Star break. Los Angeles could be rusty here. Also, the Kings have been in awful current form with just 3 wins last 17 games! Yes, the Oilers are in a B2B spot here but they faced Anaheim last night. Of course that means they were right here in the LA area already. Also, unlike the Kings, the Oilers have been red hot with 17 wins last 18 games. Additionally, they rested top goalie Skinner so he would be ready for this game. A lot of edges for the Oilers here and the Kings will be rusty and they were already struggling mightily to score goals in recent action before the All-Star break. Los Angeles had lost 14 of 16 before a RARE 4-2 win right before the break. The Kings averaged just 2.25 goals scored in those 16 games. The Oilers have averaged scoring 3.6 goals per game last 16 games. The road team should roll in this one as they found their touch again in the 3rd period of last night's game after falling short at Vegas in their first game after the break. The Kings will take some time to get going again in their first action in two weeks! EDMONTON -110 |
|||||||
02-10-24 | Seattle Kraken v. Flyers -112 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 12 h 37 m | Show |
NHL Saturday Philadelphia Flyers -115 vs Seattle Kraken @ 7 ET - Kraken playing their first game of February as they have been off since the All-Star break. Seattle could be rusty here. Also, the Kraken have lost 4 straight road games. The Flyers are off B2B momentum-building wins since the All-Star break. Also, they face former coach Dave Hakstol in this one. Additionally, they have revenge from an OT loss at Seattle right before the new year. That said, a lot of edges for the Flyers who are already back from the break and going for a 3rd straight win while Seattle will be trying to find their game early in this one and, again, their road game has not been good! Look for the Kraken road losing streak to reach 5 in a row! PHILADELPHIA -115 |
|||||||
02-06-24 | Flyers +180 v. Panthers | Top | 2-1 | Win | 180 | 11 h 14 m | Show |
NHL Tuesday Philadelphia Flyers +180 @ Florida Panthers @ 7 ET - The last thing Florida needed was the All-Star break as they had won 4 straight. Conversely, the Flyers had lost 5 straight and needed the time off. A lot of times you will see a role reversal in a situation like this and Philadelphia is poised for a big dog upset here. The Flyers won 2 of the 3 meetings last season against this Florida club that ended up in the Stanley Cup Finals versus Vegas. Also, Florida has actually lost 4 of last 5 games on home ice! Taking the road team in Panthers games would have netted you an 11-2 run last 13 games! The Flyers needed a chance to hit the reset button provided by the All-Star break and it actually is good they are away from Philly and a chance to get back on track here. Believe it or not the Flyers have as many road wins as the Panthers have home wins this season! When you consider all these factors plus the fact Philly coach Tortorella knows Florida goalie Bobrovsky well from his time coaching him in Columbus, don't be surprised when the Flyers pull off the big dog upset in this one! PHILADELPHIA +180 |
|||||||
01-27-24 | Golden Knights v. Red Wings -125 | Top | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 7 h 49 m | Show |
Detroit -125 vs Vegas @ 8 ET - It might surprise you to see the Red Wings favored here over the defending champs. However, Detroit has really built up into a solid club and they are on home ice here and they catch the Golden Knights in the 2nd night of a back to back. Since Adin Hill played yesterday, Logan Thompson is likely to be in goal here. He has been fantastic on home ice but really struggled on the road. He is coming off a horrible road outing and now has allowed at least 5 goals in each of his last 3 road starts. Detroit is coming off a shutout win and rested here. They take advantage of the goalie edge and rest edge here and get this win on home ice. 10* DETROIT -125 |
|||||||
01-23-24 | Lightning v. Flyers -104 | Top | 6-3 | Loss | -104 | 5 h 0 m | Show |
NHL Tuesday PHILADELPHIA - The Flyers host the Lightning and Philly has lost B2B games and that is significant because part of the key to their strong season has been the ability to bounce back and avoid longer losing streaks. A streak more than 2 games to the negative has been rare for Philly and they also have the home ice edge here and Tampa Bay is coming off a road loss at Detroit and they have struggled overall on the road this season. Tippett is out for the Flyers but they are otherwise healthy and they take advantage of a Bolts team that has lost 9 of last 14 road games. PHILADELPHIA -105 |
|||||||
01-18-24 | Stars v. Flyers +117 | Top | 1-5 | Win | 117 | 6 h 2 m | Show |
NHL Thursday Philadelphia Flyers +115 vs Dallas Stars @ 7:07 ET - The Flyers lost the first meeting this season in OT at Dallas so they are out for revenge here and have won 4 straight games. Though the Stars are a strong team, they are still over-valued here on the road. They have won their last two road games but had lost 5 of their 7 most recent road games prior to that. Also, Dallas enters this game off B2B wins but this followed losses in 4 of 6 games. The Stars last two wins have come against a slumping Kings team and a Blackhawks club that is one of the worst in the league. Now the Stars are on the road facing a solid Flyers club that has been hot. PHILADELPHIA +115 |
|||||||
01-18-24 | Blues v. Capitals -111 | Top | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 5 h 50 m | Show |
NHL Thursday Washington Capitals -110 vs St Louis Blues @ 7:07 ET - The Caps recently got TJ Oshie back. Now it looks like Alex Ovechkin could be back tonight after being a full participant in practice today. Even if he Ovie is not able to go (game time decision) I still like the Capitals plenty in this one. Binnington has been inconsistent in goal this season for St Louis and the Blues have struggled on the road. Washington has been getting solid goaltending from Lindgren this season too and he is now back on the ice and has continued playing well since his return. Kuemper also gave them a shutout win in the Caps most recent game. On home ice and playing better of late and Oshie has 2 goals and an assist last 3 games and it is huge that he is back now plus Ovechkin might join him tonight. WASHINGTON -110 |
|||||||
01-15-24 | Flyers +105 v. Blues | Top | 4-2 | Win | 105 | 6 h 2 m | Show |
NHL Monday Philadelphia Flyers Money Line +105 @ St Louis Blues @ 8:07 ET - The Flyers are hottter than the Blues and getting solid goaltending. In Hart and Ersson they are getting strong play overall. St Louis, on the other hand, has seen both Hofer and Binnington struggle of late. The Blues have lost 4 of 7 and Binnington allowed 4 goals in most recent start and Hofer expected to get the call here and he has been used sparingly. Not only could he be a bit rusty, his last start was a 5-1 St Louis loss. Philadelphia has won 3 straight games and 4 of 5 and allowed just 1.8 goals per game in those 4 victories. They are rolling with confidence right now and there is a reason St Louis is only a pick'em home favorite here. 10* PHILADELPHIA +105 |
|||||||
01-13-24 | Flames +101 v. Golden Knights | Top | 3-1 | Win | 101 | 6 h 10 m | Show |
NHL Saturday 10* Top Play Calgary Flames Money Line +100 @ Vegas Golden Knights @ 10:07 ET - Calgary has been scoring plenty of goals and Vegas has not. This set up is PERFECT for the road upset here and it is a big reason this line is only in the pick'em range. The Knights have scored well only once in last 8 games. In the other 7 games they totaled only 9 goals in regulation time. Calgary has won 5 of 7 games and scored an average of 4.3 goals during this stretch. The Flames are a confident bunch right now at both ends of the ice and they get revenge here for losing the most recent game with Vegas in extra time. Payback here. 10* CALGARY +100 |
|||||||
01-12-24 | Flyers -108 v. Wild | Top | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 5 h 25 m | Show |
NHL Friday 10* Top Play Philadelphia Flyers Money Line (-) @ Minnesota Wild @ 8:07 ET - The Flyers will have Hart between the pipes which gives them a big edge over Minnesota having Fleury in the crease for this one. Hart is having a strong season while Fleury has mostly struggled including allowing 10 goals in last 3 starts and 37 in his last 11 starts! Hart is off a tough start but, prior to that, had allowed 2 or less goals in 5 of his last 7 starts. Even though the Flyers have struggled some recently, the Wild have particularly struggled with losses in 6 of 7 and having scored only 11 goals last 7 games! Minnesota also has allowed an average of 4 goals in their last 7 games so they are certainly having trouble at both ends of the ice right now and I look for it to continue here. There is a reason this line is a pick'em even though the Wild are on home ice. Don't let the line fool you. Philly is the play here. 10* PHILADELPHIA (-) |
|||||||
01-11-24 | Bruins -118 v. Golden Knights | Top | 1-2 | Loss | -118 | 7 h 29 m | Show |
NHL Thursday 10* Top Play Boston Bruins Money Line -120 @ Vegas Golden Knights @ 10:07 ET - The Golden Knights are in a B2B and off a 3-0 shutout loss and have a goalie issue. Hill was surprisingly kept on the IR yesterday, Thompson has been dealing with a illness so Patera started last night, that means it could be Saville tonight and he struggled last season at ECHL and AHL level. He has been better at the AHL level this season but this would be his NHL debut. That would not be easy against a Bruins team that was the best in the league in the regular season last season with a record-breaking season and also has been having a big season this year so far but comes in angry here. Off B2B tough losses - each in extra time - the Bruins will be ready to respond in a huge way here. Boston has averaged 4.5 goals per game last 8 games while the Knights have averaged scoring just 2 goals last 7 games. Vegas has lost 7 of 9. The Bruins, prior to B2B tight losses, had won 5 of 6 games. The road team is the hotter team and has the rest edge and has the better goalie situation. 10* BOSTON -120 |
|||||||
01-08-24 | Penguins v. Flyers +113 | Top | 4-1 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 46 m | Show |
NHL Monday 10* Top Play Philadelphia Flyers Money Line +105 vs Pittsburgh Penguins @ 7:07 ET - The Penguins have lost 2 of 3 and allowed an average of 4 goals per game. The Flyers have already won both meetings with the Pens this season though it took extra time. Also, Philadelphia enters this game having allowed 2 or less goals in regulation time of 10 of last 15 games and allowed an average of only 1.4 goals in those 10 games. The Flyers are healthy right now and they are undervalued in this one based on home ice, solid goaltending of late, and they have added confidence of winning the first two meetings with the Pens this season. Pittsburgh is still a solid club but they are getting a little long in the tooth while the Flyers are up and coming team that is starting to jell. 10* PHILADELPHIA +105 |
|||||||
01-01-24 | Golden Knights v. Seattle Kraken +120 | Top | 0-3 | Win | 120 | 3 h 41 m | Show |
NHL Monday 10* Top Play Seattle Kraken +120 vs Vegas Golden Knights @ 3:07 ET - Outdoor game at T-Mobile Park in Seattle. In this Winter Classic I feel we have excellent line value with the home dog. The Golden Knights are the defending champs and they also started the season 11-0-1. However, since then, Vegas has lost 14 of 25 games! Most recently the Knights are off a big 3-2 win over the rival Kings but, prior to that, Vegas lost 4 straight and 5 of 6 and consistently have been allowing too many goals. In an 8-game stretch prior to the win over LA, the Knights allowed an average of 4.5 goals per game! The Kraken have won 4 straight and 6 of last 8 and Seattle has allowed only 11 goals in regulation time of those 8 games. Big edge here based on the way the Kraken have been playing and the goaltending they are getting and the fact this is a home game for them here. 10* SEATTLE +120 |
|||||||
12-31-23 | Flyers +121 v. Flames | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 3 m | Show |
NHL Sunday 10* Top Play Philadelphia Flyers +120 @ Calgary Flames @ 8:07 ET - The Flyers off tough OT loss at Seattle in a game they never trailed. Philly is a perfect 3-0 the last 3 times they were off an OT or SO loss. The Flames have lost 8 of 12 games. Calgary is favored here because they are on home ice but truly this Flames club has been struggling and this is excellent line value with the underdog in this match-up! Calgary has gone just 4-8 last 12 while Philly had actually won 8 of last 11 prior to their OT loss to the Kraken. Markstrom has played well for the Flames but so too has Hart for the Flyers. Also, the Philly goalie is from Alberta so these match-ups in Western Canada are always special for him. Look for another strong game from him here and the Flyers improve to 4-0 L4 times when off an a non-regulation loss. Note that Hart has not lost a start in regulation in the month of December. 10* PHILADELPHIA +120 |
|||||||
12-30-23 | Oilers +102 v. Kings | Top | 3-2 | Win | 102 | 8 h 31 m | Show |
NHL Saturday 10* Top Play Edmonton Oilers Money Line +100 @ Los Angeles Kings @ 10:05 ET - The Kings certainly want this game but revenge can only get you so far. Last post-season, just like the playoffs the year before, Los Angeles was eliminated by the Oilers. That said, Edmonton continues to have the number of the Kings and I expect that to continue here. The Oilers come into this game as the hotter team and they ride that momentum here. Edmonton is on a 3-game winning streak and they just had an 8-game winning streak from late-November to mid-December as well. They have scored an average of 5 goals in those 11 wins! The Kings have lost 5 of 9 games and they have scored an average of only 2.7 goals per game in those 9 games! I just don't see LA as being able to keep up with the high-powered Oilers in this one as revenge again proves to be over-rated. Oilers beat the Kings yet again. 10* EDMONTON +100 |
|||||||
12-29-23 | Flyers +116 v. Seattle Kraken | Top | 1-2 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 40 m | Show |
NHL Friday 10* Top Play Philadelphia Flyers +115 @ Seattle Kraken @ 10:05 ET - Ersson played most of last night's 4-1 win at Vancouver for the Flyers but the goalie exited in the 3rd period with dehydration issues. The fact that Carter Hart took his spot in the 3rd period and stopped all 8 shots he faced is a good sign here. Remember that Hart had just had a RARE bad start right before the Christmas break but he had been great before then. Also, the Flyers have now won 14 of last 21 games and that win yesterday stopped a losing streak. Can they win two straight? Well actually it has been about 6 weeks since they last had a standalone win so I expect them to again build another one here and make it B2B wins on B2B nights. Seattle seems to have really taken a step back and they have now suddenly won 3 straight. However, that followed losing 23 of their first 33 games this season and they have not won 4 straight games since last season. The odds favor another Philly win here and the Kraken have just 6 wins at home this season and no team in the NHL has fewer home wins. So the Flyers as a small dog offer excellent value here especially against a former coach, Dave Hakstol. 10* PHILADELPHIA +115 |
|||||||
12-22-23 | Flyers +116 v. Red Wings | Top | 6-7 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 8 m | Show |
NHL Friday 10* Top Play Philadelphia Flyers +115 @ Detroit Red Wings @ 7:07 ET - The Flyers should have Carter Hart back between the pipes for this one after he served as the back-up to Ersson last night. Hart is having a great season so far and has allowed just 4 goals in total in his 3 starts so far in December. The Flyers were in a 2-2 battle with Nashville yesterday but ended up losing 4-2. They will bounce right back here. That was the first loss in regulation time in the entire month of December. The Flyers have been playing well and had won 7 of 8 before yesterday's loss! Detroit has lost 7 of 8 games. The Red Wings are hurting right now due to goaltender injury issues and Reimer is struggling in goal. Philly will take advantage. 10* PHILADELPHIA +115 |
|||||||
12-21-23 | Coyotes v. Sharks +134 | Top | 5-2 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 48 m | Show |
NHL Thursday 10* Top Play San Jose Sharks +135 vs Arizona Coyotes @ 10:37 ET - The Sharks have started to struggle again last few games but are now back on home ice where they have been tougher. Couple that with the fact that Arizona is known for home dominance. They have a huge home/road dichotomy. If you just take the road team in Coyotes games you would have a 22-10 record this season. The home team is also 23-9 in Sharks games so you have a lot of value here for sure in terms of grabbing the home team when these teams are involved and this is particularly true when you factor in the +135 money line available on the Sharks here. San Jose is off a home loss to a tough LA Kings team but, prior to that, San Jose had won 6 of last 8 home games. They are a well-coached team that is starting to play better and certainly is tough on home ice. Note that Arizona has lost 8 of last 11 road games. Arizona has won 3 straight including a 1-0 win over these Sharks but all those games were at home. The home team is 6-0 in Coyotes last 6 games and I look for that run to reach 7 in a row right here. 10* SAN JOSE +135 |
|||||||
12-16-23 | Red Wings v. Flyers -121 | Top | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 5 h 7 m | Show |
NHL Saturday 10* Top Play Philadelphia Flyers Money Line -120 vs Detroit Red Wings @ 7:07 ET - The Flyers will go with Ersson between the pipes again but he is on a 5-0-1 run. Also, the Red Wings dealing with a lot of injuries right now. Lyon has played well between the pipes for Detroit when called upon but he struggled in his most recent start AND he has not played in awhile. Lyon could be a bit rusty and this Flyers team is playing much better than the Red Wings of late. Philadelphia off another win and has now won 5 of last 6 games. Detroit, on the other hand, has now lost 4 of last 5 games and the injury bug has become a concern for the Red Wings of late. 10* PHILADELPHIA -120 |
|||||||
12-15-23 | Predators +147 v. Hurricanes | Top | 6-5 | Win | 147 | 6 h 47 m | Show |
Nashville +145 - The Predators have the scheduling edge here as Hurricanes are in a B2B. The Canes starting to turn things around but they are in a B2B now and that means the goalie will likely be Raanta here and he has been struggling this season. The Preds will likely have Saros and he has been hot again. The Predators have won 11 of 14 games. The Hurricanes have won B2B games but this followed losses in 4 straight and, again, this is a tough scheduling spot. Yes, Carolina is known for being tough at home but the goalie edge and scheduling edge is too much here. NASHVILLE +145 |
|||||||
12-14-23 | Senators -117 v. Blues | Top | 2-4 | Loss | -117 | 6 h 9 m | Show |
NHL Thursday 10* Top Play Ottawa Senators -117 @ St Louis Blues @ 8:07 ET - The Blues just fired their coach and normally that is a situation that would be a play on situation for me. However, St Louis has some major issues right now and this Senators team has a coach that has been enduring a stretch on the hot seat as well. That said, I like this Ottawa team - with much more scoring firepower - to get the job done against a Blues team that is just having too many issues at both ends of the ice. The Blues have lost 4 straight and been outscored by a combined 20-10 during this stretch. The Sens have won 3 of last 5 and outscored the opposition 17-10 during this stretch. Ottawa has won 5 of last 6 games played away from home and I just can't see this Blues team having enough to outscore them here. The Senators have the much better power play unit and also have been a much higher-scoring team than the Blues this season. St Louis just has not been able to get their scoring going with any consistency. 10* OTTAWA -117 |
|||||||
12-14-23 | Capitals v. Flyers -129 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 6 h 33 m | Show |
NHL Thursday 10* Top Play Philadelphia Flyers Money Line -130 vs Washington Capitals @ 7:07 ET - The Flyers are off an OT loss at Nashville but had won 10 of 14 games before that and have been one of the biggest surprise teams in the league so far this season. Washington is off B2B wins but they had lost 5 of 7 games prior to that. The Flyers are at home and off a loss and this is the ideal spot to fade the Capitals. Lindgren is expected to start between the pipes here for the Caps. He is off a shutout win in his last start but this was preceded by 3 of the 4 prior appearances seeing him allow at least 3 goals. He allowed an average of 4 goals in those 3 appearances. The Flyers likely will have Carter Hart between the pipes here and he has allowed a total of ONLY 4 goals in his last 3 appearances. The Flyers have allowed only 1.8 goals per game in their last 5 games. The Capitals have allowed lesser goals recently but they were really struggling just before that and the Flyers, off a tight loss in OT, will prove to be too much here on home ice! 10* PHILADELPHIA -130 |
|||||||
12-07-23 | Maple Leafs -122 v. Senators | Top | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 4 h 18 m | Show |
NHL 10* Toronto -125 - the Maple Leafs have revenge against the Senators plus they catch Ottawa off a big upset win ... it is the perfect set up for Toronto to get payback here on the road ... prior to, earlier this season, losing to the Senators (in Toronto no less) the Maple Leafs had dominated this series recently and I look for payback here as Toronto bounces back off a tough loss to Boston in most recent game ... the Leafs also have the rest edge here |
|||||||
12-04-23 | Capitals +111 v. Coyotes | Top | 0-6 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 17 m | Show |
NHL Monday 10* Top Play Washington Capitals +110 @ Arizona Coyotes @ 9:05 ET - The Capitals are off a loss but they are 4-1 the last 5 times they are off a defeat. The Caps had won 7 of 9 before that loss and keep it mind it was the defending champion Vegas they lost to. Now they take on Arizona and they are scrappy team but they certainly are no Vegas. The Coyotes have suddenly won 4 straight games and Ingram has played well between the pipes but he had struggled in recent home ice outings before suddenly catching fire. I just can not see the run continuing here against a fired up Caps team off a loss. Statistically note that Washington has been just as strong on the road as they have been at home. So there is line value with the Capitals at an underdog price in this one. 10* WASHINGTON +110 |
|||||||
12-02-23 | Flyers +155 v. Penguins | Top | 4-3 | Win | 155 | 5 h 20 m | Show |
NHL Saturday 10* Top Play Philadelphia Flyers Money Line +155 @ Pittsburgh Penguins @ 7:07 ET - The Flyers are having a solid start to the season, in part, because they have been able to avoid a lengthy losing streak. In fact, their longest streak is 3 games and they are 4-1 this season when entering a game on a losing streak of 2 or more games. That is the case here and this is a big rivalry game with the Penguins and Philly's road record is actually slightly better than the Pens home record so far this season. Also, the Flyers will have Ersson between the pipes instead of Hart but he just had a fantastic November. He allowed only 8 goals in his last 5 starts. Also, Pittsburgh is off a win but had lost 5 of 7 prior to that. Off the big win over the Bolts and now catching the rival Flyers off B2B losses, the set up here is perfect for an upset. 10* PHILADELPHIA +155 |
|||||||
11-30-23 | Golden Knights v. Canucks -116 | Top | 4-1 | Loss | -116 | 10 h 28 m | Show |
VANCOUVER - The Canucks have been great on home ice all season long and here they catch a slumping Golden Knights team. Vegas has lost 8 of 11 games and I know some of the defeats were tight too but the losing is taking a toll and no let up is in sight. They are off a high-scoring loss at Edmonton but they were fortunate to even get that game to OT as they had to rally to do so. The trouble too is that, before that game, they only scored 7 goals in their last 7 losses. All is not well in Vegas right now and, now wrapping up a long road trip, the Golden Knights are not likely to see things get better until their home ice match-up this weekend. This is just a typical scenario here where it is so hard to pull it together on the road when 7 of your last 8 games have been on the road and you just can't get any consistency going. Being the defending champs plus the fact this is a divisional game, you know the Canucks want to take down the champs here. VANCOUVER -120 |
|||||||
11-30-23 | Stars -130 v. Flames | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -130 | 10 h 37 m | Show |
DALLAS - The road team has won both meetings this season and the Stars lost at home to the Flames 7-4 last week so this is a shot at right back revenge. Calgary off the huge upset win over Vegas. Not only are they just 2-6 this season when off a win, the Flames just knocked off the defending champs so the set up here is great. DALLAS -130 |
|||||||
11-28-23 | Golden Knights v. Oilers -140 | Top | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 10 h 24 m | Show |
NHL - Edmonton Oilers -140 vs Vegas Golden Knights @ 9:07 ET - This line has been moving strongly toward Edmonton. Keep in mind Edmonton started the season very poorly and the Golden Knights started the season on fire plus they are the defending champs. Yet, look at what this line is doing here. What does that tell you? Exactly...there is some sharp money coming in on the Oilers here. This is a playoff revenge situation plus Vegas is in the 2nd game of a B2B and has struggled to score goals of late. The Oilers are playing a fresh brand of hockey under their new head coach and off B2B high-scoring wins plus going for a 4th straight home ice win. Oilers want this game bad against the defending champs that eliminated them last season! Lay it! EDMONTON -140 |

11-28-23 | Hurricanes v. Flyers +144 | Top | 4-1 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 1 m | Show |
NHL - Philadelphia Flyers +145 vs Carolina Hurricanes @ 7:35 ET - Carolina is certainly a strong club but they have had some issues this season and the Flyers have been a scrappy team that has played well early this season and really surprised a lot of people in the NHL. They will have Carter Hart in goal for this one and he has been strong early this season and the underdog Flyers are a great value pick in this one. PHILADELPHIA +145 |
|||||||
11-25-23 | Flyers +137 v. Islanders | Top | 1-0 | Win | 137 | 6 h 57 m | Show |
NHL Saturday 10* Top Play Philadelphia Flyers Money Line +135 @ New York Islanders @ 7:37 ET - This is a great spot for the underdog Flyers. They lost at home to the Rangers yesterday but outshot New York by nearly a 2 to 1 ratio! Even though Hart was in goal yesterday and that means this will likely be Ersson between the pipes, the latter has been playing quite well in recent starts. Also, Sorokin likely in goal for the Islanders here in this B2B spot and the Isles are off a win yesterday and were at Ottawa. The travel situation actually favors the Flyers here. Also, they have revenge and plus Sorokin, before that start against Philly, has struggled this season. The Flyers are off B2B losses but are already 2-0 this season when they enter a road game on a losing streak of 2 or more games. Look for that record to improve to 3-0 here as before B2B losses they won 5 straight. The Isles have won 3 straight but that included tight wins and, prior to this, they had enduring a long overall losing stretch all the way back to mid-October. Great underdog value here and payback revenge for the Flyers. 10* PHILADELPHIA +135 |
|||||||
11-24-23 | Jets +123 v. Panthers | Top | 3-0 | Win | 123 | 5 h 5 m | Show |
NHL Friday Winnipeg Jets Money Line +125 @ Florida Panthers @ 8:05 ET - The Jets have been hot with wins in 9 of 11. Also, Winnipeg welcomes back coach Bowness for this one after a leave of absence tending to his wife (illness). That said, I look for the Jets to rally around him and him being back and Hellebuyck certainly rates the goalie edge over the Panthers Bobrovsky. The latter has been very inconsistent this season with a number of bad starts. The Panthers also lost the first meeting at Winnipeg this season. This Jets team is just too hot and this is a great underdog price on them. Florida has lost 2 of 4 and this is another tough match-up for them. 10* WINNIPEG +125 |
|||||||
11-22-23 | Golden Knights v. Stars -135 | Top | 2-1 | Loss | -135 | 9 h 42 m | Show |
NHL Wednesday DALLAS STARS -135 - I had Dallas when they lost at Vegas earlier this season. It is a game they never should have lost. Also, the Stars have playoff revenge from last season. Right now Dallas is the hot team and the Golden Knights have gone cold of late. This is a great spot to lay a reasonable price on a revenge-minded team primed for a blowout win on home ice! |
|||||||
11-22-23 | Flyers +127 v. Islanders | Top | 2-3 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 32 m | Show |
PHILADELPHIA +125/+130 - The Flyers have won 5 straight games. It is not a fluke. As I predicted at the start of the season, the front office changes Philly has made would pay dividends and the club atmosphere is now different than the past for sure. As for the Islanders, they are off a win but this followed losses in 7 straight games and losses in 11 of 14 games. This is a divisional rivalry with some past playoff history too and these teams just do not like each other. The fact the motivated road team that is playing the better hockey right now is a solid dog makes this a must play the way I see it. Philly also will have Hart in goal and he has been much better this season than Sorokin has for the Isles! Road upset win here! |
|||||||
11-22-23 | Rangers +107 v. Penguins | Top | 1-0 | Win | 107 | 6 h 55 m | Show |
NEW YORK RANGERS +107 - The Rangers just had their first regulation loss in their last DOZEN games! This New York team is a perfect 3-0 this season when off a loss. Quick will likely be in goal since Shesterkin was in goal in Monday's loss at Dallas. The Rangers blew a 2-0 lead in that game and did lead it 2-1 entering the 3rd period. They gave up 6 goals (2 empty netters) after they had scored the first two goals of the game. That is the kind of a loss that will get a team immediately focused and they can not wait to take the ice tonight. I know the Pens are still a quality team but I don't trust Jarry against elite teams and the Pens goalie is facing an angry Blueshirts club tonight that should pepper him with plenty of shots on goal. I like great teams off a loss when they had been playing well just prior to that loss. The Rangers fit the bill in that regard. Grab the small dog on the road on the money line here! |
|||||||
11-19-23 | Blue Jackets v. Flyers -146 | Top | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 4 h 57 m | Show |
NHL Sunday 10* Top Play Philadelphia Flyers Money Line -145/-155 vs Columbus Blue Jackets @ 5:37 ET - The Flyers beat the Blue Jackets at Columbus earlier this season in their season opener. Tortorella was head coach with Columbus in the past so this game always has a little extra special meaning in addition to the fact this is a divisional game. I know the Flyers are in a B2B and just beat the Golden Knights yesterday. However, Philly has won 4 straight games and we get a bargain line on home ice here against a bad Blue Jackets team. That's because Hart was in goal yesterday so the goalie today is likely to be Ersson for the Flyers. But he has actually been solid in recent outings so I expect him to come up with another strong start here if called upon. Overall, the Flyers have bounced back strong this season while the Blue Jackets continue to struggle. Note that Columbus has lost 8 straight and 12 of last 13! They also have only 1 road win this entire season. I look for the Blue Jackets to struggle again as the Flyers stay hot. 10* PHILADELPHIA money line |

11-18-23 | Seattle Kraken v. Canucks -139 | Top | 4-3 | Loss | -139 | 8 h 46 m | Show |
NHL Saturday 10* Top Play Vancouver Canucks -140 vs Seattle @ 10:07 ET - This is a great set-up as the Kraken are off a 4-3 win in the shootout but had lost 12 of 17 games this season prior to that win. Vancouver is off a loss but had won 10 of 12 games heading into that one. Also, the Canucks are a perfect 3-0 this season when off a loss in which they allowed 3 or more goals. The Kraken are 0-2 this season when entering a game off a home win! Seattle is known for struggling to score and Thatcher Demko should be back between the pipes after sitting out the Canucks most recent game, a loss. Demko has gone 8-3 this season with a low GAA sitting around 2 goals and he dominates again here. This is a value price for the Canucks considering the situation. 10* VANCOUVER -140 |
|||||||
11-17-23 | Panthers v. Ducks +160 | Top | 2-1 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 6 m | Show |
NHL Friday 10* Top Play Anaheim Ducks Money Line +160 vs Florida Panthers @ 10:05 ET - Gibson should be back between the pipes here for the Ducks and he has been great. Dostal really struggled against the Avalanche but now Anaheim should bounce back off that ugly loss. With Gibson in the crease, the Ducks are 4-1 in his last 5 decisions. Also, he has a fantastic 2.19 ERA on the season including a sparkling 1.51 GAA this month. The Ducks were on an 8-2 run before losing their last game by, ironically, an 8-2 count! They are very undervalued here on home ice in my opinion. Florida is a solid team but the Panthers are 6-1 at home but have lost 5 of 9 on the road. This line is heavily shaded toward a club that also lost 22 of 41 road games last season as well. The Ducks are improving and solid on home ice and they show that again here. 10* Anaheim +160 |
|||||||
11-16-23 | Canucks v. Flames -136 | Top | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 7 h 30 m | Show |
NHL Thursday Calgary Flames -135 vs Vancouver Canucks @ 9:07 ET - Tough back to back spot for the Canucks and they had to rally from two goals down for a hard-fought win in OT last night. Now Vancouver will likely go with back-up goalie Casey DeSmith in the B2B while the Flames have Jacob Markstrom back from injury and he was strong in his first start back and is now off B2B strong starts. He will prove to be a difference-maker again in this one. Calgary is on home ice plus has the situational advantage here. The Flames have had a tough time early this season but 10 of their last 14 games have been away from home ice. Their schedule has been tough and, with Markstrom back again, and more home ice action on the horizon, the Flames will build off winning 3 of last 5 and earning points in 4 of those 5 games! They are feeling better now than they were early in the season and they catch Canucks off that OT battle last night. Great spot for Flames. Lay it! 10* CALGARY |
|||||||
11-12-23 | Canucks -154 v. Canadiens | Top | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 9 h 13 m | Show |
NHL Sunday 10* Top Play Vancouver Canucks -155 @ Montreal Canadiens @ 7:07 ET - Great set up here. The Canadiens are off B2B wins but both after regulation. This followed 4 straight losses including the last two by a combined score off 11 to 6. As for the Canucks, they are off a rare 5-2 loss and already perfect this season when off a loss in which they allowed more than 2 goals. They will bounce right back here. Prior to the loss they had won 5 straight and 8 of last 9. Also, unlike the Habs, the Canucks do not even have a win that came after regulation. All their wins were within the 60 minutes and, in fact, averaged a margin of victory of 3.7 goals! More of the same on the way here and, because the Canucks are on the road, we get a reasonable line here. 10* VANCOUVER -155 |
|||||||
11-10-23 | Flyers -103 v. Ducks | Top | 6-3 | Win | 100 | 15 h 50 m | Show |
NHL Friday 10* Top Play Philadelphia Flyers Money Line -105 @ Anaheim Ducks @ 10:05 ET - The reason this game is priced this way is because Carter Hart is expected back in goal for the Flyers tonight and yes he has been that good this season for the Flyers. So he will make a difference here and also this is a revenge game for Philly because the Ducks won the first meeting 7-4 at Philly. No, Hart did not play in that one and he and his Flyers teammates want revenge here. The Ducks have lost 3 of last 5 at home and are scoring an average of just 1 goal in their 5 losses this season. They are capable of being shutdown and Hart and the Flyers get some road payback here. Philly very hungry after losing at San Jose and giving the Sharks their first win of the season even though the Flyers had a big edge in shots on goal in that one with a 39-19 edge. 10* PHILADELPHIA -105 |
|||||||
11-08-23 | Kings +113 v. Golden Knights | Top | 4-1 | Win | 113 | 9 h 19 m | Show |
NHL Wednesday 10* Top Play Los Angeles Kings (+) @ Vegas Golden Knights @ 10:07 ET - This is another one of those match-ups in betting that falls into the category of "someone knows something" as the saying goes. Yes, the Kings are playing very well but still they have 4 losses in their 11 games so far this season. Conversely, the Golden Knights have been nearly flawless this season and plus they are on home ice here and yet this line is as low as the -120 range on Vegas. This is basically an open invitation for people to take the Golden Knights. Of course when this is happening I am on the other side! Give me LA as I side with the bookmakers here as per usual. This is not without reason here of course and I love the fact LA is rested and off a 5-0 win at Philly a few days ago and they are a perfect 6-0 on the road this season and they have revenge here. Yes, they lost the first match-up with Vegas this season despite having a 2-0 lead and despite a 40-30 edge in shots on goal. So this one sets up well to be payback and I am not fooled by this line. Grab the small dog that is priced this way because this is where the sharp money is on this one! 10* LOS ANGELES KINGS |
|||||||
11-07-23 | Red Wings v. Rangers -148 | Top | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 7 h 41 m | Show |
NEW YORK RANGERS -150 vs Detroit Red Wings @ 7:37 ET - The Rangers are off a SO loss in which they blew a 3-goal lead. I know Shesterkin is out for the Rangers but Quick has had a solid season overall and certainly he has played better overall than Husso of the Red Wings. Detroit is off a huge divisional win over big, bad Boston. This is a great flat spot for the them. The Wings had lost 4 of 5 heading into that one. As for the Rangers, they had won 6 straight before that loss and have not lost B2B games yet this season. Look for that trend to continue here as the hosts resume their red hot season and bounce right back. NY RANGERS -150 |
|||||||
11-05-23 | Golden Knights v. Ducks +155 | Top | 2-4 | Win | 155 | 8 h 8 m | Show |
NHL Sunday Anaheim Ducks +155 vs Vegas Golden Knights @ 8:07 ET - Vegas is the only team without a regulation loss this season. In fact, every other NHL team already has 2 this this season expect for the Bruins who have only 1 regulation loss. Look for the Golden Knights to be dealt their first tonight. They are playing great for sure but now they are in a B2B spot and off a huge 7-0 win over Colorado. That is that type of big win over a quality opponent that can leave a team flat in its next game. That said, the Ducks have been sneaky good so far this season and are a division rival that would love to spoil the Vegas party that has been going on so far this season. The Ducks enter this game having won 5 straight games and they are very well rested as they have been off since Wednesday while the Knights were battling the Avalanche just last night. Plenty of motivation for the home dogs and a big rest edge and this one has upset written all over it. ANAHEIM +155 |
|||||||
11-04-23 | Blue Jackets v. Capitals -140 | Top | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 5 h 24 m | Show |
NHL Saturday Washington Capitals -140 vs Columbus Blue Jackets @ 7:07 ET - This is a great set up from a situational perspective as Columbus is off a big win over the Lightning 4-2 but lost 4 straight by a combined score of 14 to 8 prior to this! The Capitals are off a rare shutout loss but had won 3 straight games prior to that by a combined score of 12 to 7. So this one is all about the situation and the value because the Jackets are not a very good hockey club and the Caps had started to get going before that ugly 3-0 loss. So we have the better team on home ice and in the better situation! We'll take it! WASHINGTON -140 |
|||||||
11-03-23 | Flyers +155 v. Sabres | Top | 5-1 | Win | 155 | 10 h 4 m | Show |
NHL Friday Philadelphia Flyers Money Line +155 @ Buffalo Sabres @ 7:07 ET - The Flyers outshot the Sabres 40 to 15 Wednesday but goalie Carter Hart got hurt in the first period and Philly lost the game in the 3rd period in a game that was much closer than the 5-2 score would lead you to believe. It was a 2-2 game for much of the way and, again, Philly dominated shots on goal. So we have some excellent line value here because the Flyers are on the road and goalie Hart will miss. Teams often rally in the first game after a guy gets hurt and Philadelphia will do the same here as they take advantage of this chance at right back revenge. Keep in mind, the Sabres are off B2B wins for the first time this season and they have a huge game at Toronto on deck for tomorrow for Saturday night's Hockey Night in Canada. So, the point is, from a situational perspective this spot favors the Flyers and yet we get huge money line dog value here. Philly has a non-conference game with the Kings on deck so they will be the much more focused team here. 10* PHILADELPHIA +155 |
|||||||
11-02-23 | Jets +130 v. Golden Knights | Top | 2-5 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 25 m | Show |
NHL Thursday - WINNIPEG +130 @ 10 ET - the Jets have playoff revenge here and yes they also lost already to the Golden Knights earlier this season too, however, their season ended last April right here in Vegas so you know they want revenge right here on this ice, the Golden Knights are a small home favorite for a reason, many could argue this line should be much higher but the odds makers are smart ladies and gentlemen, in this case you have a moderate price even though Vegas is 9-0-1 this season and the Jets have been a .500 team so far, the key here is that the Jets are off B2B losses but faced a tough Rangers team most recently and both defeats were after regulation, Winnipeg has not lost in regulation since the home loss to Vegas two weeks ago, Brossoit took that loss but this should be Hellebuyck in the crease for this one, Hellebuyck is one of the best goalies in the league and he has allowed an average of only 2 goals last 4 games, I think this is a very tricky line and Vegas is going to suffer their first regulation loss of the season, the Jets did outshoot the Knights in the first meeting this season and they come in as the hungrier team and the Golden Knights have had a lot of fortunate wins so far this season, grab the road dog in this one |
|||||||
11-02-23 | Stars v. Oilers -133 | Top | 4-3 | Loss | -133 | 10 h 59 m | Show |
NHL Thursday - EDMONTON -135 - back to back spot for the Stars which mean Wedgewood likely in goal because Oettinger started last night, these guys have been night and day so far, so the goalie situation means a big edge for Oilers here, I also like the fact Edmonton is at home and has the rest edge, Oilers got back on track with the big win in the Heritage Classic over Calgary, McDavid also came back for that game, so you have a great spot for the Oilers to keep building and a tough spot for Dallas here, that said it is excellent line value with the host here |
|||||||
11-01-23 | Sabres v. Flyers -105 | Top | 5-2 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 59 m | Show |
NHL Wednesday 10* Top Play Philadelphia Flyers -105 vs Buffalo Sabres @ 7:07 ET - First off the Sabres, their most recent game notwithstanding, have had some goalie issues early this season. As for the Flyers, when Carter Hart starts Philly has been great. He has been very tough on home ice and this is a Sabres team that has struggled often this season prior to their upset win over the Avs. This is a great spot for Philly off B2B losses but on home ice and with their #1 goalie in the crease. The Sabres have been dealing with goalie injury issues already this season and I expect them to get rattled early by a determined Flyers bunch here that is hungry at home off the B2B losses. Sabres fall after an upset win and Philly gets back into the win column with a relentless effort here as they will be the more determined team. 10* PHILADELPHIA -105 |
|||||||
10-31-23 | Predators +118 v. Canucks | Top | 2-5 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 20 m | Show |
NHL Tuesday 10* Top Play Nashville Predators Money Line +115/+125 @ Vancouver Canucks @ 10:05 ET - At first glance this looks like an easy play on the Canucks. Of course you know what that usually means! The reason why Vancouver is such a small home ice favorite here is because the Predators have revenge here and Nashville has been playing much better last 4 games other than that 3-2 home ice loss to the Canucks. The Preds are on a strong run overall and getting good goaltending and they are buoyed further by getting the win in the shootout over Maple Leafs in most recent game. Nashville will build off that here and make it 4 of 5 wins as they continue to get strong play in the crease. I know the Canucks have been playing solid but they are off an OT loss and have lost 3 of 6 games and could be a bit down after the tough loss they just had while the Preds can't wait for a shot at revenge here. Look for the road team to come up big in this one as the Canucks think about their nice road trip down to sunny San Jose which which is up next for Vancouver and should be an easy win for their next game. 10* NASHVILLE +115/+125 |
|||||||
10-30-23 | Hurricanes v. Flyers +169 | Top | 3-2 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 21 m | Show |
NHL Monday 10* Top Play Philadelphia Flyers Money Line +160/+170 vs Carolina Hurricanes @ 7:07 ET - The Flyers have been better than most expected earlier this season and this is a home dog spot too strong to pass up. Yes, Philadelphia just got hammered in most recent game but Ersson was between the pipes and he has struggled in both starts this season. Conversely, Carter Hart has been great in all but one of his starts this season and he has been particularly strong at home. He has made 3 home starts and the Flyers have won those 3 games by a combined score of 12 to 3. Hart had dominated at home prior to last season and he is truly looking like the Hart we saw in the early days so far this season. As for the Hurricanes, they have been a great team in recent seasons and are still super strong and ultra dangerous. However, the Canes have not been as sharp as usual early this season. Yes they won their last two games but one of those wins was in OT against a struggling Seattle team. Also, 2 of their 5 wins this season have been against an awful Sharks team and Carolina has gone just 4-4 last 8 games with the only two regulation wins in this stretch over a San Jose team that is the worst in the league. So, great setup here with Canes off a shutout win and Flyers off an ugly loss with the back-up goalie. The hosts respond big here and get a shocking win! 10* PHILADELPHIA +160/+170 |
|||||||
10-29-23 | Flames v. Oilers -148 | Top | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 9 h 18 m | Show |
NHL Sunday 10* Top Play Edmonton Oilers -150 vs Calgary Flames @ 7:07 ET - This is the outdoor game in Edmonton where the Elks play football in the Canadian Football League. This is also a huge rivalry as it is the Battle of Alberta with Calgary and Edmonton having a long-standing rivalry. The fact is that, no matter what the records currently say, this Oilers team is in much better shape right now than this Flames team. This is particularly true with Connor McDavid expected back for this game as well. Either way, I like Edmonton here. The Flames have a rookie head coach and they are playing like it! He entered with no NHL head coaching experience and it showing. We'll give him a mulligan early on this season and Ryan Huska does deserve time but right now this Flames team is a dumpster fire with 4 straight losses and defeats in 6 of last 7. Calgary has scored an average of only 1.25 goals per game in those 6 defeats while allowing nearly 4 goals per game! The Oilers are coached by Jay Woodcroft and he entered this season with a 76-32-12 NHL regular season record and two trips into the post-season with these Oilers. I know Edmonton has struggled early this season but they have faced a rather tough schedule and I look for this game to be a turning point for them early this season as they host this outdoor game against their biggest rival. Based on early season records this will be the weakest team Edmonton has seen since they faced Nashville and they blasted them 6 to 1. Look for big win here for Oilers. 10* EDMONTON -150 |
|||||||
10-28-23 | Jets -145 v. Canadiens | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -145 | 6 h 54 m | Show |
NHL Saturday 10* Top Play Winnipeg Jets Money Line -145 @ Montreal Canadiens @ 7:05 ET - I do not like to lay much juice in money line sports but this is a great spot for the Jets. The Canadiens are off an OT win versus Columbus. The Habs now have a decent early season record but all 4 of their wins have come against non-playoff teams from last season. Now they face a Jets team that is heating up with 3 straight wins and is seeing Hellebuyck look like the Hellebuyck of old that, when he gets into a rhythm is tough to beat. Look for he and the Jets to notch another win here as they are in a solid scheduling spot too since they did not play yesterday and they do not play tomorrow either. As for Montreal, they have a big road trip on deck out west that starts in Vegas, home of the defending champion Lightning. So, the point is, the Canadiens could get caught looking ahead here a bit. A lot of times teams fall a little flat in that final home game before a long road trip. The boys are already thinking about Vegas! In any event, the way the Jets are playing right now too, this looks like a spot worth backing them even at a moderate price. 10* WINNIPEG -145 |
|||||||
10-26-23 | Wild v. Flyers +107 | Top | 2-6 | Win | 107 | 9 h 52 m | Show |
NHL Thursday 10* Top Play Philadelphia Flyers +105 vs Minnesota Wild @ 7:35 ET - This is a great spot for the Flyers. They are on home ice and coming off a 3-2 loss at Vegas in a game it looked like they were destined to win 2-1. Keep in mind that game was at the home of the defending Stanley Cup Champs. The Flyers very nearly won outright and they easily covered the puck line and the game should have ended up going to overtime but the Golden Knights got a very late goal. The point about Philly, and I have already used them a couple times this season for this reason, is they are a little better than people realize and also have more of a cohesive group this season. They are putting together the right pieces. Granted this is still not a great team but they are solid and they are building and they will continue to compete hard. That makes a game like this on home ice a likely win the way I see it. They are hungry off a tight road loss in which they know they deserved better. They will come out flying here and they catch the Wild off a big home win over a division rival. Great set-up here plus Minnesota has allowed 5 goals per game in their last 5 games and had lost 3 of 4 before the win over Edmonton Tuesday. The Flyers, on the other hand, have allowed just 2.5 goals per game in their 6 games this season and they are 2-0 at home and won those games by a combined score of 6 to 1. Great spot here for home team. 10* PHILADELPHIA +105 |
|||||||
10-24-23 | Seattle Kraken v. Red Wings -118 | Top | 5-4 | Loss | -118 | 8 h 55 m | Show |
NHL Tuesday 10* Top Play Detroit Red Wings -120 vs Seattle Kraken @ 8:15 ET - The Red Wings have won 5 straight games and have been extremely impressive as all 5 wins have come by multi-goal margins and the average margin has been 3 goals apiece. This is a classic case of hot versus not as the Kraken are struggling early this season. I was really surprised Seattle was as successful as they were last season and think their early season struggles are a reality check plus a sign of things to come this season. The Kraken have lost 5 of 6 games and been held to 1 goal or less in all 5 of those losses. This is a bargain line based on last season's versions of these teams. The Wings are improved and the Kraken have declined. 10* DETROIT -120 |
|||||||
10-22-23 | Flames -139 v. Red Wings | Top | 2-6 | Loss | -139 | 4 h 54 m | Show |
NHL Sunday 10* Top Play Calgary Flames Money Line -140 @ Detroit Red Wings @ 5 ET - Nice set up here with Detroit in the 2nd game of B2B while Calgary has been off since Friday. Also, the Saturday game for Red Wings was a win but they were outshot 37 to 23. The Friday game for the Flames was a loss but they outshot Columbus in that game 37 to 29. Give me the rested Flames here and angry off a loss. Note that Detroit is off to a hot start this season but this is their first tough B2B spot and the road team is favored over a Red Wings team that has won 4 straight and is at home absolutely for a reason! 10* CALGARY -140 |
|||||||
10-20-23 | Flames -138 v. Blue Jackets | Top | 1-3 | Loss | -138 | 9 h 7 m | Show |
NHL Friday 10* Top Play Calgary Flames -140 @ Columbus Blue Jackets @ 7:07 ET - This is a great set up because even though Calgary is in a back to back they used Vladar between the pipes last night. Flames #1 goalie Markstrom will get the call tonight and he was on the wrong end of a 3-2 shootout decision in his most recent start. The Flames have won just 1 of his 3 starts but this Calgary team is much stronger than this Columbus team. The Blue Jackets are 1-2 this season but the two losses are by a combined score of 8 to 2 and their lone win was despite being outshot 42 to 21. The point is that this Columbus team could easily be 0-3 on the season and the odds certainly favor that they will be deservedly handled that 3rd loss right here. They just lost 4 to 0 to the Red Wings and already lost 4 to 2 to the Flyers and all their games have been at home this season too. That said, it is likely to be a long season for Columbus fans this go around and the Flames come into the building and get a big road win! Yes it is a -140 price range here but it is well worth it! 10* CALGARY -140 |
|||||||
10-17-23 | Stars -105 v. Golden Knights | Top | 2-3 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 32 m | Show |
DALLAS STARS -105 - These teams met in the Western Conference finals last season and the Golden Knights advanced and then beat Florida to win the Stanley Cup. There were 3 games in Vegas during the series with Dallas and the Knights did not beat the Stars a single time in regulation here. Vegas actually lost one of the games but then were fortunate to win each of the other two in overtime! In other words, that is certainly a series that could have played out much differently had the Knights not won each of the first two games in overtime here in Vegas. The Stars have not forgotten about this and they have been anxiously waiting for this game. They could have the fresher legs here too as the Knights are already playing for the 4th time this season while the Stars have had just one game so far. So grab the road team here and look for some big-time revenge! There is a reason this line has moved heavily toward the Stars in this one. They have a great shot at revenge here and the odds favor it happening the way I see it! DALLAS -105 |

10-17-23 | Oilers -140 v. Predators | Top | 6-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 10 m | Show |
EDMONTON OILERS -140 - The Oilers are angry off B2B losses to start the season. They lost two games to the Canucks and now begin a 2-game road trip to the states. Look for this quick 2-game jaunt to get Edmonton going and it starts right here. The Oilers are projected to be one of the best teams in the league this season. The fact they are 0-2 gets us some added line value here. The Predators did win their only home game but I like that factor as, if this was the Preds home opener I might shy away. Overall I know this Nashville team is just not on the level the Oilers are and the Preds have already lost 2 of their first 3 games this season. Edmonton is going to be ultra determined off B2B losses and we take advantage of the line value here because if this game was at home the line would be too pricey. Here we get line value on the road! 10-17-23 | Canucks v. Flyers +115 | Top | 0-2 | Win | 115 | 7 h 16 m | Show |
PHILADELPHIA FLYERS +115 - This is the Flyers home opener and they catch Vancouver off huge B2B wins over the division rival Oilers. Yes, Vancouver is 2-0 to start the season but off those B2B wins including a hard-fought 2nd game win, how much will they have left in the tank here? Canucks get caught still celebrating plus they have a perceived tougher game on deck at Tampa Bay. They might look right past the Flyers and the home dog gets it done in their home opener. PHILADELPHIA +115 |

10-14-23 | Flyers +162 v. Senators | Top | 2-5 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 2 m | Show |
NHL Saturday 10* Top Play Philadelphia Flyers +160 @ Ottawa Senators @ 1:05 ET - Late breaking play but wanted to see what this line did and this one is all about the line value. Yes the Senators are at home and finished better than the Flyers last season but Philadelphia now has Sean Couturier back and they looked very good in winning their season opener. I know the Sens are a respectable team and likely to finish with a better record than Philly when this season is in the books but the fact is the Flyers are going to ride a wave of positive energy at least early this season before reality sets in. Carter Hart fully capable of another strong start here in goal and the Senators gave up 5 goals in their opener. Yes it was against a tough Hurricanes team but confidence counts for something too and I could see the Sens coming home and struggling a bit in their home opener with the added pressure of wanting badly to win this for their home fans. Conversely, the Flyers ride the wave of positive emotion of their season-opening road win and just carry that right into this game. Philly could surprise some bettors early because the addition of Daniel Briere in management and Keith Jones in hockey operations is going to have a very positive impact on this team. Ride the wave before Philly starts facing some high-quality teams as that is when things will change in a hurry. Ottawa is respectable but they are being given too much credit here. 10* PHILADELPHIA +160 |

10-13-23 | Penguins -119 v. Capitals | Top | 4-0 | Win | 100 | 13 h 49 m | Show |
NHL Friday 10* Top Play Pittsburgh Penguins Money Line -120 @ Washington Capitals @ 7:37 ET - The Penguins have an edge here as they already have a game under their belts. Also, the way that one played out is the kind of loss that gives a team a lot of extra motivation for their next games. Was season opener for the Pens and was home in Pittsburgh and they were hosting a Blackhawks team that many project to be quite bad again this season. The Penguins were up 2-0 and then late 2nd period (never a good time to give up a goal but this is one of the worst times), the Pens allowed a goal. Suddenly the game was 2-1 and sure enough the Blackhawks fed off that momentum in the 3rd period after tying it midway through and then going on to win the game 4-2. This insures a very focused effort from the Penguins and this team has improved much more than the Capitals entering this season. Of course this is still Ovechkin's team and I love the fact that Ovi has been with Washington his entire career and the same for Crosby and Malkin with the Penguins. Nowadays you just don't see that as much and it is good to see. I think the Caps are going to struggle this season though as an inexperienced (from NHL perspective) Carberry the coach now and some new players to work in but some key guys hurting with Pacioretty and Edmundson both out. Look for the Capitals to struggle in first game of new season under new head coach and facing an angry division rival. The Pens/Caps rivalry is a great one and it continues here. 10* PITTSBURGH |

10-12-23 | Flyers +111 v. Blue Jackets | Top | 4-2 | Win | 111 | 13 h 2 m | Show |
NHL Thursday 10* Top Play Philadelphia Flyers +110 @ Columbus Blue Jackets @ 7:05 ET - Philadelphia made some big changes in the off-season including in the front office and there is a new feeling among the Flyers right now. This team believes they can win now. They are still set to struggle against the better clubs in the NHL for sure but this is a very winnable game for them. They have a coach in Tortorella who is starting to build the team he wants and having guys involved like Briere in management and Jones in hockey operations there is just a new feel here. How did Columbus enter this season? With losing coach Mike Babcock right before the season. What a mess! The Blue Jackets were already set to struggle again this season but things just went from bad to worse in Columbus. The Flyers and Jackets are not playoff teams unless they completely shock the hockey world this season but, I will say this, Philly is in much better early season situation that Columbus. The Flyers get it done in this one. Trust me, there is a reason the Jackets are on home ice but hardly even favored here. Grab the road dog! 10* PHILADELPHIA +110 |

06-13-23 | Panthers +161 v. Golden Knights | Top | 3-9 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 13 m | Show |
NHL Tuesday 10* Top Play Florida Panthers +160 @ Vegas Golden Knights @ 8:20 ET - The Panthers are 5-1 this season - playoffs included - when they are off a regulation loss by a 1-goal margin. That is the case here after their comeback versus Vegas fell just short in a 3-2 final in Game 4 in Florida. Even though they are now on the road for this one, note that Vegas was a modest 3-2 last 5 home playoff games before this series. Also, those 3 wins for the Golden Knights were all by just a single goal including 2 of them in OT. So, even though Vegas had big wins in the first two games of this series just keep this in mind about home ice. Also, Game 1 of this series was tied at 2 entering the 3rd period and the Panthers won Game 3 plus very nearly game back to force OT in Game 4. This series has not been as one-sided as one might think on the surface. That said, I look for Florida to bounce back even if Matthew Tkachuk does not play here as they improve to 6-1 / 86% on the season when in the situation noted above. A lot of underdog value here and I will not pass up on that. 10* FLORIDA +160 |

06-08-23 | Golden Knights v. Panthers -118 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 16 h 17 m | Show |
NHL Thursday 10* Top Play Florida Panthers Money Line -120 vs Vegas Golden Knights @ 8:20 ET - Florida is 9-3 this season when they enter a game off at least 2 consecutive losses and with the most recent loss being in regulation time. That includes 8-3 in regular season and then 1-0 in post-season. Note that the home team is a perfect 4-0 in the Panthers last 4 games. The Golden Knights are 0-2 in the post-season when they are on the road and off a win by a margin of at least 4 goals. As you know, Vegas just blew out Florida 7-2 Monday and this followed a 5-2 win in the series opener. That first game was much closer than the final score would indicate. The 2nd game was ugly for the Panthers and went perfectly for the Golden Knights. Now it is payback time for Florida. Look for Vegas to drop to 0-3 in this post-season when on the road and off a win by a margin of 4 or more goals. Look for the home team to improve to 5-0 in Panthers last 5 post-season games. The 100% trends continue here as it is now or never for Florida truly and I look for the Panthers to respond huge on home ice while Vegas gets caught feeling a little too good about themselves and gets a dose of reality here. There is still some fight left in these Panthers and they are known for being particularly dangerous in the offensive zone in home games. 10* FLORIDA -120 |

06-05-23 | Panthers +125 v. Golden Knights | Top | 2-7 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 58 m | Show |
NHL Monday 10* Florida Panthers Money Line +125 @ Vegas Golden Knights @ 8:10 ET - When the Panthers are playing on the road and coming off a loss - a situation that has happened 3 times in these playoffs - they have gone a perfect 3-0 in this post-season. Vegas took game one but they got 2 power play goals and an empty-netter in the 5-2 win. It really was a much tighter game than the score indicates. It was 2-2 heading to the 3rd period and I am sure the resilient Panthers are going to bounce back here. Look for them to improve to 4-0 in the post-season when in this situation and notch yet another road win when coming off a loss. Resilience and perseverance are the key words with this Panthers bunch. 10* FLORIDA +125 |

06-03-23 | Panthers +118 v. Golden Knights | Top | 2-5 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 55 m | Show |
NHL Saturday Florida Panthers Money Line +118 @ Vegas Golden Knights @ 8 ET - The Golden Knights, of course, are a great team or they would not be here. However, these Panthers have been very special in their own right. Remember they had to get past the big bad Bruins in round one and they actually trailed in that series 3 games to 1. Once they accomplished that come back effort to get past Boston it seems like this team is nearly unstoppable. Amazingly, Florida has now won 11 of last 12 games and the lone loss was at home. In fact, the Panthers are now 8-0 L8 road games since losing their road opener of the post-season. Look for the streak to reach 9 wins in a row for Panthers road games as they get the job done again here to open up this series. Vegas was a more modest 6-4 last 10 games before winning Game 6 versus Dallas. Also, the Golden Knights have lost 2 of last 5 home playoff games. Grab the underdog Panthers looking to make it 9 straight road wins. FLORIDA +118 |

05-29-23 | Golden Knights v. Stars -121 | Top | 6-0 | Loss | -121 | 11 h 6 m | Show |
NHL Monday Dallas Stars Money Line -120 vs Vegas Golden Knights @ 8:05 ET - As I wrote in my write-up for Saturday's Game 5, the whole world was lining up on Vegas to close the series out at home. The line had moved the direction of the Golden Knights but that gave us exceptional value on the Stars as a sizable underdog in that one. Note that Vegas has only two wins by more than a 1-goal margin in their last 8 games. The point is that one can give Vegas credit for gutting out tight wins (including a couple in OT) but, as I stated here before Game 5, I feel we could see a major shift in momentum in this series after the Stars finally got a tight home win in Game 4 after losing the first 3 games of the series. That was an OT win and the key was Dallas finally seemed to figure out how to get inside a bit more on the Golden Knights and create more higher-percentage scoring opportunities. We took that knowledge of how the game played out and expected that the Stars would continue to build off the things they did well in Game 4 and, sure enough, Dallas did just that in Game 5. The Stars were rock solid in that 4-2 win and now can really continue the roll with captain Jamie Benn coming back for Game 6 plus this game being back on home ice. The way I see it, the momentum and the key situational value here all lies with the home team. DALLAS -120 |

05-27-23 | Stars +131 v. Golden Knights | Top | 4-2 | Win | 131 | 11 h 36 m | Show |
NHL Saturday Dallas Stars Money Line +130 @ Vegas Golden Knights @ 8:05 ET - The whole world is lining up on Vegas to close this series out at home. The line has moved the direction of the Golden Knights but I feel this is giving us truly exceptional value on the Stars as a sizable underdog here. Note that Vegas has only 1 regulation win in last 4 home games in this post-season. The other 3 games included a 5-1 loss and a pair of OT losses against these Stars. The only regulation win for the Golden Knights in this stretch of 4 home games was just a 4-3 win over the Oilers. Give Vegas credit for gutting out tight wins but I feel we could see a major series shift in momentum here after the Stars finally got a tight home win in the most recent game. That was an OT win and the key was Dallas finally seemed to figure out how to get inside a bit more on the Golden Knights and create more higher-percentage scoring opportunities. The Stars will continue to build off the things they did well in Game 4 and remember, the Knights have been far from dominant on home ice. DALLAS +130 |

05-25-23 | Golden Knights v. Stars -110 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 13 h 27 m | Show |
NHL Thursday Dallas Stars Money Line -110 vs Vegas Golden Knights @ 8:05 ET - Dallas just suffered their first regulation time loss of this series. The Stars lost the first two games in overtime. Dallas easily could have been up 2-0 in series but now, after Tuesday's debacle, they are down 3-0 in this series. Note that the Stars are 6-0 since mid-March (including 3-0 in this post-season) when they are off a loss in regulation time. I am sure that Dallas is going to respond big here. Vegas took it to them early in Game 3 but you will see a very determined Stars bunch destined for payback in Game 4. They are on home ice and fired up and hungry to send this series back to Vegas. Their effort will be off the charts and the fact is not much has separated these two teams in this series. That said, the team that wants it more has the upper hand and the Stars are not going to be denied here at home. Look for the hosts to improve to 7-0 the last 7 times when off a NON-OT loss. DALLAS -110 |

05-24-23 | Hurricanes +100 v. Panthers | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -100 | 18 h 60 m | Show |
NHL Wednesday Carolina Hurricanes Money Line +100 @ Florida Panthers @ 8:05 ET - The Hurricanes outhshot Florida 32 to 17 in the Game 3 loss. This after losing each of the first two games in OT. The Panthers got 4 power play opportunities and the Hurricanes got just 1. To say the Canes are a little bit frustrated and angry right now is the understatement of the year. The Hurricanes will respond here as Carolina is very well-coached and has veteran experience and they will be fully focused on the "game at a time" mentality in a series that has been tight but that they have been just short in all 3 games. They feel the calls were unfair in the Game 3 loss but they will use that frustration to turn it into positive energy for this one. The Hurricanes will not be denied here. They have come to far and are too good a team to get swept out of the playoffs. Just like you might have seen Boston come up big at Miami last night in the NBA - similar situation of Celtics having statistical edges in shots the game before but losing - I think in the hockey we are going to see another team avoid the sweep and send this series back north for a game in Raleigh. CAROLINA +100 |

05-23-23 | Golden Knights v. Stars -137 | Top | 4-0 | Loss | -137 | 9 h 5 m | Show |
NHL Tuesday Dallas Stars Money Line -140 vs Vegas Golden Knights @ 8:05 ET - This is the first time in these playoffs that Dallas has lost B2B games. In the regular season the Stars had only 2 losing streaks of more than 2 games. When Dallas entered a game off exactly 2 straight losses they won that 3rd game 7 out of 9 times. The Stars never trailed in Game 2 and only trailed for a combined total of about 12 minutes in Game 1. They gave up a tying goal in Game 2 with about 2 minutes to go. Both games went to OT and the Stars lost both. After the way these games played out and everything that has transpired in this series. I just can not see them losing here in Game 3 on home ice. The home team is on a 5-0 run in Stars games. Look for that streak to reach 6-0 here with another home ice win. DALLAS -140 |
|||||||
05-22-23 | Hurricanes +100 v. Panthers | Top | 0-1 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 45 m | Show |
NHL Monday Carolina Hurricanes -101 @ Florida Panthers @ 8:05 ET - The Panthers 7 of last 9 wins have come by just a single goal and 6 of the 7 have been OT wins including each of the first two games in this series. This is simply unreal as Florida also has NO losses in OT so far in post-season. Carolina, on the other hand, is 6-4 last 10 games and 3 of those 4 losses by just a single goal including the last 2 in OT versus Florida. 2 of their 6 wins were in OT but the average margin of their other 4 wins was 4 goals apiece! I feel we are getting excellent line value here with the Hurricanes in about as close to a must win spot as it gets and yet we are getting a pick'em line and we have the team that has won the shots on goal battle by 17 including an edge of 12 in Saturday's tough loss. Value on the road team in a great spot and they are so hungry and will not be denied off B2B losses. CAROLINA -101 |
