09-04-16 | Notre Dame v. Texas UNDER 60 | 47-50 | Loss | -107 | 145 h 12 m | Show
Notre Dame has a powerful defense and opens the season on the road. 5 starters return to a hard hitting defense that is solid up front and the Under is 4-1 when the Fighting Irish face the Big 12. Texas has revamped the offense that was dreadful last year, but that doesn't mean they will be improved, especially with such weak QB options. It's a revenge game as Notre Dame won 38-3 at home last season, shutting down the Longhorns. Texas had 103 yards passing (8-of-23), and just 60 yards rushing, 2.1 ypc. "We just gave him too much time to throw," Charlie Strong said, which means he will blitz more in the rematch. Texas was up and down defensively last season but the overall talent is outstanding and they are primed for a bounce back campaign. Texas is on a 23-10 run under the total and this shapes up as a defensive slugfest. Play Notre Dame/Texas Under the total. |

09-04-16 | Notre Dame v. Texas +3.5 | 47-50 | Win | 100 | 145 h 12 m | Show
A huge revenge game for a Texas team with plenty to prove off a disappointing campaign. The Fighting Irish are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games on fieldturf. Texas has revamped the offense and the defense is loaded with talent, bouncing back after an uneven campaign. When they got up to play the unstoppable Oklahoma offense last year they played great, winning 24-17 as a big dog. Play Texas. |

09-03-16 | LSU v. Wisconsin +10 | 14-16 | Win | 100 | 117 h 17 m | Show
A pair of powerhouse programs clash, both with defenses far better than the offenses. A road trip for LSU to open the season, heading to Lambeau Field and the wild Wisconsin fans. LSU has a fierce defense but a one-dimensional offense than can't pass. They run into a strong Wisconsin defensive front that was No. 1 in college football in points allowed last season. Coming off a 10-win campaign of a season ago, which included a bowl victory over USC, Wisconsin returns 11 starters. Five starters are back on offense, anchored by three along the offensive line, and that doesn't include running back Corey Clement, who missed most of last season to injuries. Six starters are back from a defense that limited opponents to just 269 yards and 14 points per game last year. Wisconsin is going with senior Bart Houston. He was a backup to Joel Stave the last few seasons, and appeared in 15 games overall. Houston's most extensive action came last season on Oct. 24 in a 24-13 win at Ilinois, when he went 22 of 32 for 232 yards with two touchdowns. The Badgers won five times outright in their last 11 spots as underdogs, going 8-3 against the spread in the process. This will be a close defensive duel so grab the home dog with the dominant D. Play Wisconsin. |

09-03-16 | LSU v. Wisconsin UNDER 44.5 | 14-16 | Win | 100 | 117 h 13 m | Show
LSU has a fierce defense but a one-dimensional offense than can't pass, on a 4-1 run under the total. They run into a strong Wisconsin defensive front that was No. 1 in college football in points allowed last season. Six starters are back from a defense that limited opponents to just 269 yards and 14 points per game last year. Both teams prefer to run, which chews up yards and the clock. Wisconsin is on an 8-3 run under the total and this shapes up as a game with more field goals than TDs. Play UNDER |

12-28-15 | Pittsburgh +3 v. Navy | 28-44 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 27 m | Show
Early start here on Monday for the Military Bowl between Pitt and Navy. Bowl games always a bit tough on these teams as they usually have long layoffs between their final game and the Bowl game. Pitt played just over a month ago, losing their final game to Miami-Florida, 29-24. Today's game will feature the Pitt rush defense against the Navy triple option attack. Both clubs are rushing attack teams, so I expect a lower scoring contest here on Monday. The last triple option team that Pitt faced was Georgia Tech, back on November 17th. The Panthers won that game 31-28. The Panther's rush defense was ranked 19th in the country with just 126.1 ypg allowed. Navy gets a bit of home field here with this game in Annapolis, MD. Navy is pretty much a rush team, behind their 319 ypg rushing (3rd in the country). Expect a lot of ground and pound in today's game. I like the points here even with the game in Navy's backyard. Take Pittsburgh. |

12-21-15 | Western Kentucky v. South Florida +2.5 | 45-35 | Loss | -103 | 11 h 53 m | Show
Western Kentucky boasts the 4th ranked scoring offense in the county with a 44.2 ppg average. The Hilltopers are 10th in total yards (520 ypg) behind a very good 6th ranked passing attack. The defense is middle of the road, ranked 54th in points allowed and 60th in yards. WKY has covered three straight games. South Florida has covered four straight games, including straight up wins over Cincinnati (65-27) and a very good Temple team, 44-23. The Bulls are 40th in scoring (33.5 ppg) and 42nd in total yards. The defense is better than Western Kentucky, as they are ranked 23rd in the country in points allowed (21.1) and 37th in yards per game. Could be a good old fashioned shoot out in this one, but I like South Florida here as they can match WKY in points and have a better defense. Take the points. |

11-24-15 | Bowling Green -21.5 v. Ball State | 48-10 | Win | 100 | 19 h 41 m | Show
Bowling Green will be going to a post season bowl, but they would like to lock up the MAC East crown. Currently, Bowling Green is in 1st place with a 8-3 record in the MAC East. The Falcons had their seven game winning streak snapped last week against Toledo, 44-28. Ball State will not be playing in a bowl game as they are just 3-8 on the season and 5th in the MAC West. The Cardinals have lost two straight and seven of their last eight. They have been outscored 102-38 in their last two games. Bowling Green has the fifth ranked offense in the country, averaging 565.1 ypg. Compare that to just 381.4 ypg by the Cardinals. The Falcons usually beat up on these weak opponents, covering 13 of the last 17 against a team with a losing record. Big difference in quality of these clubs tonight. Bowling Green can pretty much name the final score. Play Bowling Green. |
