Food City 500 Odds Betting
Gamblers…ready for NASCAR Food City 500 Odds betting? In the first of two stops at Bristol Motor Speedway on this year’s Sprint Cup schedule the boys of NASCAR roll into town this week for the running of the Food City 500.
Sprint Cup – NASCAR Food City 500 Odds
Race: Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway
Date: Sunday, April 17
Time: 1 p.m. (ET)
Broadcast: FOX
Race time on Sunday afternoon is set for 1 p.m. (ET) and this event will be broadcast nationally on FOX.
Kyle Busch has been known as a very streaky driver throughout his racing career and this season’s current winning streak in a Sprint Cup race reached two with last Saturday night’s win at Texas.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. raced well enough to place second and Joey Logano ended-up third

The following is a look at my top favorite, contender and longshot to win this Sunday’s race in Bristol based on betting odds provided by TopBet.
NASCAR Food City 500 Odds: The Favorite (odd of less than 10/1)
While a smart betting strategy is to ride the hot hand until it cools, I am going with the betting strategy that someone is due with this week’s pick of Joey Logano as my top-valued favorite at +600 betting odds.

The No. 22 car has been right in the mix all season long with three finishes in the Top 5 and given the fact that this race team won six Sprint Cup point events last season, this could be the perfect time to ride it all the way to Victory Lane.
Logano ended-up near the back of the pack in this race last season, but the value in his odds come from victories in the second race at this track in both 2014 and 2015.
NASCAR Food City 500 Odds: The Contender (odds from 10/1 to 19/1)
There is stretching value in the odds and then there is reaching for value and I will go on record right now by saying this week’s play on Martin Truex Jr. at +1500 odds to win should be considered a reach.
He has just one Top 5 finish so far behind the wheel of the No. 78 car, but it was at Daytona in a loss by mere inches to Denny Hamlin.
I do like the fact that this team worked its way to sixth last week at Texas to bring some solid form into this race.
Truex Jr’s recent form at this track has not been good, but he did post back-to-back Top 3 runs in the second race here in 2011 and in this event in 2012.
NASCAR Food City 500 Odds: The Longshot (odds 20/1 or greater)
Sooner or later rookie Chase Elliott is going to win a Sprint Cup event and I am going with his +2500 odds that it comes on Sunday at Bristol.
Firmly in the spotlight behind the wheel of the No. 24 car, he has been able to place inside the Top 10 in four of his first seven Sprint Cup point events.
He finally cracked the Top 5 last Saturday night with a fifth-place run at Texas and I think that this kind of momentum can keep him at or near the front of the pack in this race. Anything can happen from there at very attractable odds.
