With all of that in mind who should we be keeping an extra eye on this week? Let’s break it down.
2019 The Wells Fargo Championship Favorites:
Rory McIlroy +600
Rory McIlroy came up short at the Masters a few weeks ago, but he comes into this tournament, as the favorite and with the way he has been putting it’s really not a surprise.
[dfads params=’groups=248&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
His price really isn’t great but with the way he has been playing he is hard to ignore. If you are going to bet him bet him now, because as it gets closer to tee time I think his price will end up around +550
Rickie Fowler +1100
Rickie Fowler has always talked about how special this place is for him after winning here before but even though that came in 2012 he has usually finished well here.
He was t-9 at the Masters and he looks like he is back in form. I like him better than Rory and thinks he needs to be on your card.
2019 The Wells Fargo Championship Contenders:
Tony Finau +2200
Tony Finau has played here four times and has made the cut all four times, and has finished in the top 25 in two of his appearances.
He is playing the best golf of his career and it will probably be only a matter of months before his odds are closer to the +1300 or +1400.
Patrick Reed +3500
Patrick Reed is getting a lot of attention heading into this tournament because most figure at some point the breakthrough has to be coming, but I just don’t see it.
[dfads params=’groups=247&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
I don’t love him here though even at +3500, and this is a guy that I am making sure to stay far away from.
2019 The Wells Fargo Championship Sleeper (+4000 or higher):
Charles Howell +4000
Charles Howell doesn’t get talked about enough, but this is a guy that is playing some really good golf at this point of his career.
This is a guy who is 13th in the PGA at driving and that is something you need at this course. Don’t overlook him for your card.
2019 The Wells Fargo Championship Picks:
The guy I do really like is – Ton Finau to have a nice tournament and end up on top on Sunday Afternoon.
He gets his third win ever year and gets his season back on the right track.
