Week four of the NFL season kicks off on Thursday night with a huge NFC showdown. In this game the Philadelphia Eagles make the trip to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers.

The Thursday night games so far this year have been duds but that shouldn’t be the case with this one.

Philadelphia Eagles

It’s only week four but the Philadelphia Eagles need to be treating this like a must-win game, because the last thing they want to do is fall to 1-3.

After opening the season with a win against the Washington Redskins they have lost their last two games to the Atlanta Falcons and the Detroit Lions.

One of the biggest issues for this team has been injuries and they will probably be short handed again in this game.

At wide receiver, DeSean Jackson is out and Alshon Jeffery is questionable in this one. Without them, Nelson Agholor has stepped up and made some key stops, but he has also has had a key fumble and a couple of key drops.

At quarterback it’s Carson Wentz who has been good this year, but he needs to do more with the other guys who are missing.

On the defensive side the secondary is also really banged up, and they are going to need to have some of the young guys step up to try and slow down the Packers passing game.

Green Bay Packers

On the other side of this matchup is the Green Bay Packers who are 3-0 but there still seem to be a lot of questions about this team.

In their last two games they have scored 21 and 27 points respectively but the offense hasn’t actually been that impressive and if they don’t improve, at some point it’s going to catch up with them.

Aaron Rodgers comes into this game having thrown for 647 yards, four touchdowns, and zero interceptions. He has done what he needs to do to win games, but at some point we will see one of his signature games.

On the defensive sides they have looked good and some players are always saying they have the best defense in football.

Going against Wentz is going to be a challenge for this team, and it should give us a good deal of how good the defense is.
