We have reached week nine of the NFL season and this is a big time AFC showdown.

The Indianapolis Colts make the trip to Heinz Field to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Even though the Colts are on the road, they are the favorite in this game.

Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts have had some close battles, but right now they are looking like one of the best teams in the AFC. Coming into this game they have won three games in a row, but the last game against the Denver Broncos they only put up 15 points.

Even though they put up only 15 points, the defense stepped up in a big way giving up 13 points and it led to a victory.

Coming into the season there was real concern about the quarterback position after Andrew Luck hung up the cleats right before season.

In has stepped Jacoby Brissett who has thrown for 1,590 yards, 14 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. Over his last two games he has thrown zero interceptions.

In this game if Brissett can have a big game, the Colts are going to have a really good chance to come out with a win and move to 5-2.

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers haven’t had a great season but they currently sit with a 3-4 record and if they get hot they could get into the playoffs still. They do have a little bit of an easier schedule coming up but they need to treat this like a must win.

At quarterback the Steelers are led by Mason Rudolph who has been up and down. He comes into this game having thrown for 897 yards, nine touchdowns, and three interceptions. It’s going to be important in this game if they want to come away with a win that Rudolph has a big game.

On the defensive side the Steelers aren’t as good as years past. They come into this game giving up 20.7 points per game which is 13th in the football.

In this game it’s going to take a complete game. They can’t get out to a slow start like they did against the Dolphins if they want to come away with their third win in a row.
